Selected User Reviews For Faber-Castell Black Paper Pad - 25 Sheets of 9" x 12" Paper

I am amazed! I bought this pad of 100% cotton paper for $6 and am planning on doing watercolors on it
3/5

In my plan, I was looking to use it for color sketches, then after mastering that, painting it on "the good paper. ". Upon receiving it, I was a bit dubious that there was any cotton in it. At the time I purchased it, the description stated that it was 95% cotton. 90% of the people have it now. Is it possible that it lost 5% over the course of the week? I painted one sheet of a purse intended for use in one of my compositions since I doubted it would be useful. I purchased a pad of orange goldfish paper with my intuition, and it absorbed the paint like chalk, laying down a horrible texture. I am a pretty stupid person because I did not listen to my instincts and bought a pad of orange goldfish paper. I would pass on it, even if it was for kids. There was a $6 waste. There is a very high likelihood that Amazon won't even publish this review, which is a sadness for people who don't have money to waste. I wish you all the best.

Imagery that presents misleading information about a product
3/5

There is no difference between the pictures and the real thing! Since I was a teenager, I was a fan of Faber-Castell has been one of my favorite bands since I was a kid. Throughout the years, their products have been very reliable and good. I suppose so. This has been the case up to I am experiencing my first disappointment, and it is a disappointing one! There are no colors like those shown in the photo. Faber-Castell paper, based on its brand trust and pictures of the bright colors on the product page here on Amazon, is usually the best choice for construction paper, as it tends to have very pale, pastel colors. The main reason I purchased Castell's construction paper pad was to see if it was as vibrant as it claims. I'll tell you right now that it doesn't! In fact, the colors match perfectly together when I compare them to the construction paper from the convenience store! It is pale, diluted, and The red color does not exist. The only thing that is pink. It appears that all the colors have faded after sitting out in the sun for These pads are not only ugly on their own, but they are also a lie since the image on the cover illustrates real red and real colors. The manufacturer Faber Is everything okay with you, Castell? Doesn't construction paper come in good colors across the board? Is it possible to get real colors back?.

I feel like I wasted my As my 11 year old son is starting 6th grade, I ordered this book for him
3/5

I thought instead of going to multiple stores to find it, I would order it from Amazon. Her teacher requested we get tracing paper, so I decided to order it from Amazon. It doesn't even seem like tracing paper to my daughter, so I ordered the wrong stuff. Not even a trace of anything can be seen beneath I don't see the point of spending money on that. If you plan on using it as tracing paper, skip buying it.

The sketch pad is decent, and you can use colored pencils with it
4/5

Some people probably think that the black sketch paper is construction paper, but that's not the case. The black sketch paper is actually a Faber-Castell, which is a collection of special designer papers. Construction paper is much smoother, coarser, and is a much lighter black than Castell black sketch Due to my familiarity with both, I quickly took a picture of them side by side. The picture is quite good at capturing the differences between them. I have tried chalk pastels that work well, as well as colored pencils (I use Prismacolor Premier) that work even better on this piece. It is a pleasant change to have the pencils draw smoothly on a black background. While it may not be the finest black paper around, it is still good enough for the purpose. If you are interested in playing with black drawing paper, this is a good starting point.

The product cannot be used to paint with water
3/5

This is how it went for me. It did not work well for watercolor due to its cellulose (wood based). Getting the paper off the desk without damaging it is almost impossible because it dries instantly. Washing wet on wet is impossible, as this paper has little to no sizing, and once wet, it soaked up all of the water before I could rinse It should also be mentioned that buckling occurs. I even taped the paper down but it still buckled. Since it has a decent tooth to it and is fairly thick, it should work well for Pastels (which I tried, to satisfactory Suitable for Sketching, Markers, Colored Pencils, and even Water Color pencils (Line & No. It should only be a light wash. When it comes to Watercolor, save yourself a lot of time and effort by purchasing Bee paper, as it is an affordable medium on which to practice.

This is not a product you should purchase
3/5

Considering its price, this tablet is a terrible buy. You might be able to get $1 for it. There are pastel colors, not white or ivory. It is 99 at most. There is no difference between 20 pounds and this. Unlike art paper, photocopier bond paper is not suitable for framing. As a certified art teacher and a graduate of art school, I have an art degree. The ones I teach in kindergarten, elementary school, intermediate school, or high school will never use this. This paper bleeds through the backing when you use markers, pens scribble on the pages below the one you are drawing on, and graphite does not work very There's nothing but a rip-off in this product. It is a horrible drawing paper that you should NOT purchase. You should be careful when buying!.

Tracing is impossible because the image is too opaque
3/5

For tracing, this is of no use. Below the "tracing" paper, it is nearly impossible to see the details of the design.

The pads are thin and don't last long, but I have had several of these in the past that I use for collages
3/5

The first thought that came to my mind was a children's book. As soon as it is left out in the studio, it will begin to get light damaged. is not suitable to be used as a background paper because it will tear, bubble, and change shape when wet. A piece will leave fibers behind if it is repositioned after it has been placed. Whenever I use markers that are not absorbed, they leave marks like bubbles and dents on the paper. My processes allow me to use small sections well sealed in collage
I manage the issues this way. This time, I hit the reorder button thinking that I was getting two pads for the $10 something price. I was wrong, the price was for a single What a jerk! In other words, it's more than zero. My paper is only ripped into small pieces, so I can only use 42 sheets per sheet. There is no point in spending money on that! It is easy for me to paint scrap paper if I want to.
