I'm not sure what they're for, but they're great.
They're stable if you use your non-writing hand to hold them in place. They're one of my favorites and I use them a lot.
I'm not sure. Regardless of where it was produced, the final product is excellent.
They were very easy to wipe clean. With ballpoint or roller ball pens, I've never had that problem.

I'm terrible at writing. These were helpful in keeping my writing on track and in the right place. I like that it comes with four different ones to assist me with various envelop types. They're made of a thick, hard plastic. Exceptionally well-made. They have a rough texture to prevent them from sliding around on the envelope. I used mine on my Save The Date wedding invitations, and because we have slick shinny envelopes, the roughness of the plastic allowed me to place it on my envelope without it sliding, and because I am left-handed, I tend to push things as I write, and these definitely stayed put. I especially like the measuring tool on the sides, which helps me figure out where to put the envelope, even if it's not a standard size. The plastic is semi-transparent, with a hazy haze that can be seen through. I like that even if I put a sticker underneath, I can see it clearly.
I've been doing a lot of envelope art in the last year or so, and I thought these would come in handy for keeping the calligraphed addresses straight. Not so much, to be honest. Because your downstrokes are interrupted by the plastic, you can't do calligraphy or addressing with the template on the envelope. I do use these, but only to lightly pencil in the top and bottom lines, then erase the pencil lines after finishing the addresses. I don't think it's worth the money. A small ruler and a pencil will suffice, if not exceed, your needs.
It makes a significant difference.
I considered a number of options before settling on these, and I'm glad I did.
My granddaughter and I are PenPals, and despite the fact that we live in the same town, we write letters to each other. After two hand/wrist surgeries, my handwriting has gotten worse, so these help me keep my writing in the right place. I ordered two sets, one for myself and one for her, because there are several Templates with different spacing that allow me to be more creative in printing or cursive. She adores hers as well!.
I wish I had bought this product many years ago. My envelopes look much more presentable now that I can't write straight lines to save my life. I bought the item with the intention of using it as a painting stencil. A zero is what I use. The straight lines will be marked with a 03 pencil, and the addresses will be written in black ink. It looks fantastic!!.
I expected thicker plastic between the bars to write on, but it's flimsy and moves when you write, and there's no grip in the back to keep the template from moving. The super flimsy plastic bar moves when I slightly move my pen down to finish the bottom of a letter, and the name isn't straight as a result. Cheap. br>It's a good concept, but the execution was shoddy, and it's not worth my money or time to use this useless piece of garbage. Regrettably, I only discovered this after I had already left.
These were purchased to assist me in the creation of wedding invitations. The different size variations were fantastic! I could use them on both large and small envelops (thank you cards and wedding invitations). They're simple to use and helped me keep track of my addresses. I'd strongly suggest it!.
