Yes, absolutely! I used it to protect older paint on metal. It was just what I needed: a decoupaged star for my front door.
Yes, this would be ideal for decoupage on scrapbooks.
It's all about the satin sheen when it comes to decoupage. Varnish, on the other hand, defeats the goal. You'll lose the decoupage finish's fidelity and end up with a gleaming yellowish appearance. If you want to put something outside, the UV exposure and temperature changes may cause the decoupage to crack.
To create a color glaze, I tinted Royal Coat with acrylic. However, I have yet to use it for antiquing. I'd recommend using crackle or a dry brush layer effect for this.

I'll never understand why someone would decoupage with anything else. It makes it simple to move the rice paper around before placing it where you want it. In that regard, I believe Mod Poge is abysmal, despite the fact that they are both manufactured by the same company. If you look at the company's comments/response, they even admit that this is the higher-level issue. Mod Poge has reached the end of its development cycle.
perhaps a better alternative- with no odor Strong scents can cause asthma attacks in asthmatic people. I enjoy crafting, particularly decoupage, but I was unable to do so due to the strong odor. Modifications made at home Podge recipes didn't work as well, and I was hesitant to use them if I was spending money on projects that, when all the components were added up, were a $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I was ecstatic when I came across this product. br>br> Quality, dependability, and performance are not compromised in any way. The final product appears to be professional, and the price is very reasonable. Most importantly, it is completely risk-free for me to use. even when you're inside.
Product quality and consistency; I've been using it for years and this bottle was a bad batch. It's not as sticky as you might think. This time, I couldn't seem to get the papers to stick together. I rely on this product for income, so this is extremely disappointing.
). I bought this because I read it worked better on magazine paper than Mod Podge paste. I don't see how Royal Coat helps with anything. It functions as a glue, but I don't see how it differs from Mod Podge. But this is something I'm new to. This may be superior to Royal in ways I have yet to discover.
The napkin technique is ideal for bible journaling. I apply it over the napkin and it seals everything in with a beautiful shiny finish. I also like the texture. After drying, it dries clear and isn't sticky.
I appreciate how simple it is to operate.
I work with repurposed magazine pages, which are thin and finicky to work with. Plaid Royal was recommended to me by a blog that I follow, and I absolutely adore it. Going through my craft box, I realize I've used this product before when decoupaging napkins, so I can recommend it; it dries clear and I've had no issues with lifting or bubbles.
This product is fantastic and makes decoupage a breeze. I'm not going to use Mod Podge anymore.
