Questions & Answers

What exactly are the usage instructions?

This is what I use on my Porsche's seats. I simply dipped a clean soft rag into the container, as if I were polishing shoes, and then applied it to the car's leather seats. It's something I've used for a long time and it's always worked well for me. Best wishes to you.

Is this a good way to keep good-looking leather goods? Not only is it useful for restoring near-end-of-life situations. are you a fan of products?

I used it on my porsche interior, which was in good shape but I wanted to keep it that way, and I discovered that tandy leather's jackson hide helped me do just that. I still have it and plan to use it on my newer Porsche for the same purpose.

Is it possible to use this product despite the fact that the leather has a small amount of mold on it? Is it necessary to use a different product to clean the leather before using this?

Clean the mold first with a 50/50 mixture of rubbing alcohol and water, white vinegar, lemon juice diluted in water, or scrubbing bubbles bathroom spray. Use a toothbrush or sponge to gently scrub the area. After that, dry your leather piece completely in the sun. Use hide rejuvenator or neatsfoot oil after the mildew has gone away.

Is there any silicon in this?

I'm not sure how much silicon is in the product, but it appears to function properly.

It's fantastic! I have a number of leather conditioning products that work well on new or still supple leather for conditioning and maintenance, and I can only echo the other reviews of this product
5/5

I've recently acquired a number of vintage leather items (belts, holsters) ranging in age from 40 to 70 years. Many of them were dried out and stiff, and some were as hard as cardboard due to storage in attics and other places. I tried this based on the reviews, and it works great for restoring old, dried out leather! It's the best of everything I've tried. They were restored to a lustrous sheen and usable suppleness with the help of this product. It didn't turn the extremely hard pieces into soft, supple kid leather, but it softened them enough to make them usable. It won't restore leather that has completely degraded, cracked, or crumbled - It doesn't work miracles when it comes to bringing Lazarus back to life. It will, however, give life to those who are still alive! A note - Before using this or another product on valuable old antique leather products, consult a conservator to determine the best way to preserve them so as not to inadvertently degrade them or reduce their value. For anything else, this stuff is great! It works well as a conditioner for new leather. It should be noted that it darkens the leather, but I think it adds to the character. I'm placing an order for my third canister to ensure that I have enough on hand in case of an emergency.

Aids in the recovery of dried leather
4/5

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this product did not have an overpowering odor. There is one, but it's so light that you won't notice it while you're applying it: a tan cream that goes on a little wet-looking. After penetrating the leather, it will lose its sheen for the most part. Hand buffing will make what was there before look even better. It will help to moisturize and protect finished leather with surface cracks, but it will not, of course, restore the original smooth finish. I just tried it on a small piece of vegetable-tanned carving leather. This type of leather will darken from a light tan to a rich brown as it dries, lightening slightly. The second coat will increase the color's depth, but I didn't notice any more color change after the third application. Overall, if you have a dried-out piece of leather, don't mess with it! Apply a few coats of this to the entire surface and allow it to dry completely. The item will then be flexible again, assuming it isn't too far gone.

I would strongly suggest it
5/5

This product performs admirably, as other reviewers have stated. On a table leather top, I used one coat. I let it dry for a few minutes (I'll admit, I'm impatient). and proceeded to get the shoe shine brush It had been brushed. After a half-hour wait, he arrived and buffed it with a flannel cloth, and voila! I'm hoping you can see the gleam on this table, which was found in a dumpster. I cleaned and repaired a small side table made entirely of bamboo. Tandy Leather looks fantastic after just one application. It comes highly recommended.

It did a fantastic job of repairing a strap on my hat
5/5

I bought a used cap on eBay with a leather strap on the back, and I could tell the leather wasn't in great shape when I got it. I bought this product after seeing a YouTube video about it, and it worked like a charm. Although it darkened the light brown leather considerably, I prefer it with a darker finish. The leather is now smooth and looks and feels fantastic!.

Lighter leather will darken as a result of this
4/5

I tried it out on a pair of brown leather boots for the first time. I was disappointed that it darkened and changed the color of the boot (in the attached photo, I only used the conditioner on the heel). But, at the very least, I know the leather is better conditioned and waterproofed, which means the boots should last longer. Perhaps with time, it will lighten up again?.

My opinion is that this is the best leather restoration product available
5/5

This is an excellent treatment for leather that has become tough and/or dried out. I was able to locate an original non-infringing copy. M1907 leather sling from the Great War (for the kids, WW1) in good condition. It's plyable, soft, and in good working order; The marks and bruises you'd expect from a leather sling from a war that took place over 103 years ago are still visible.

Years have passed since it was last used
5/5

For years, I've been using this to keep my leather couch in good condition. The odor can be a little off-putting. When you're rubbing it in, you'll notice that it's a little thick. Because it is a natural product, no artificial fresheners are used. However, once the product has penetrated the leather, it is no longer detectable. It appeals to me because. . . It is completely natural and simple to use. Apply with a lot of elbow grease, and I've been using it on a leather couch for years with no staining or other issues.

Leather cleaner of superior quality
5/5

On my leather sofa, I use this product. It cleans, gleams, and dries in a flash. My first jar was purchased from a leather goods company that had gone out of business, and it was excellent. When I discovered it on Amazon, I was overjoyed. I'll place another order.
