I am pleased with how well the spikes have held up. For several weeks, my jacket and boots have been untouched by them, and they haven't had to be replaced once It was all very neat and tidy and I'm not one to be gentle, so that is a big deal for me. As long as you have a stabbing tool and a screwdriver, it is very easy to apply to clothing. In my example, I used a tiny pair of manicure scissors to punch holes in the leather, and then wiggled the screw ends of the spikes through, so you could do it even if you do not have all the leather crafting equipment. TSA wouldn't give you a second look either, so you're good to fly having a good appearance.
It's hard not to fall in love with wore it with an oversized distressed jean jacket that I found so adorable. (I found a magnet near one of the spikes) The spikes are made of real metal, and they're heavy. During the winter, my jacket was spiked around the shoulders and collar. The way I applied them was by first making a small hole in the jean with scissors, then putting the screw through and twisting the spike over the hole. As far as I can tell, I only hand-tightened my spikes and they have stayed in pretty securely. If you are using leather, you shouldn't use this same method. The tiny holes would make it hard for leather to react with all the The quality of this product is astonishing, and if I ever make another cool grungey jacket I definitely will order these.
This is a very nice pair of sneakers that I bought based on DIY posts/videos I found for spiking Converse sneakers, and I am impressed with them! As soon as the holes were poked, I was able to bolt all of my spikes by hand. In my opinion, they do not stick up high enough for the spikes to screw down firmly on the thicker canvas around the heel, so if you want to apply them to the rubber toe area of Converse shoes, then these are not likely to work. I am very happy with everything else! I have plenty of fabric left for other projects such as spiking a denim jacket, which no doubt will be easier than spiking a shirt!.
A Vivitool order was placed. In light of the reviews, I decided to order two packages as I wanted to receive all 10 that the package was supposed to contain. The two packages were counted. With 99 screws and 98 studs, this kit contains everything you need. In the second you will find 98 screws and 98 studs. A child could count out 100 of each with ease. In any case, they appear to be like the picture, even though they aren't full spikes. Their bases are more rounded and the spike comes half a centimeter up from the bottom. In this case, they would be If they cost $5, they would be worth much more than that.
There are some screws that wouldn't screw all the way down. We recommend you use superglue to ensure they don't come loose by accident.
I used it to make a biker mask.
The first batch of items I received were Thanks to their M3 threads, I still had a few extra M3 screws/washers from another project that could have been used. I would have given 5 stars if I received 100 backs that were usable. I am very pleased with the quality of the spikes. It is not for the following reasons that the backs are of poor quality Please note that. There were a lot of screwdriver slots on the heads that Please note that. In some screwdriver slots, the screwdriver couldn't even fit because the slots were too shallow for it. Please note that. There were a couple of screws that were unrecognizable. Please note that. There were some that were not even the right length or size. However, I would probably still buy them again if I needed them. Having extra M3 screws would be my first priority.
My only wish is that it was a little longer so that I could screw it.
