With a strong tug, this item appears durable and strong, but it does not appear to be leather. It looks almost like a flat, narrower version of balloon twine. I unwound some from the spool and held it flat for a photo. The material wrinkled everywhere The material is not soft, and as a leather substitute, it does not work well.
The description title claims that this is leather, but it is not leather. Tandy is the name I trusted for leather, not faux leather, so I should have read the description first. Additionally, this lace is thin and only 1/8 inch wide. There were a lot of things I didn't like about it.
It served as a hook for hanging my BBQ tools on my grill. The fact that it melted surprised me quite a bit. In the product description, it does not mention or imply that it may not be.
The edges of the knife sheaths I make are laced. My previous experience with lace was with a different brand but I found this product to be superior in both quality and price. When this is used up, I will purchase this product again.
The leather looks cheap, and I would never have guessed it was leather if you hadn't told me. The material is thin and light. You'd be better off saving your money and purchasing some real goods. As far as we can tell, plastic is what it.
There is absolutely nothing like real leather about this. Then I realized it was rigid plastic that I bought hoping to make tassels out of it. Unlike leather, it does not hang or feel like it.
My experience with them has never let me down! As far as I could tell, this was the best price.
The price of 50yds of true black leather lace in this size made me unable to afford it, and when I made my purchase I had to look up what "imperial" meant on the manufacturer's site before I knew what it There have been times when I've worked with vinyl that feels more like faux-laminate or pleather You can call it leather or whatever you like, but it wouldn't be as good as what "imperial" quality faux leather was Tandy is where you'll find leather. There is a plastic feeling to it. Because of the requirements that I need to knit with it and have it retain its shape and flexibility, this will be really interesting, and I have my fingers crossed for me.
