Springfield Leather Company Rawhide Lace Hanks (1/4" x 50')

Just what I was trying to do. My second rawhide bundle kept breaking every 8 to 10 inches when I tried it on the back of the chair. It would not work no matter how many times I tried. The product was able to be returned for the reason that it was defective. Thank you, good customer service. I will order again and hope for a good product to finish the project.

Update Now that I have finished the back of my little rocking chair, it is ready to be assembled. I am very pleased with the replacement bundle! Springfield Leather is great! Thank you!.

was picking this up for a couple of DIY projects and am not unhappy with it. In this case, I went with the 1/2" and not the 1/4" because I can divide it down myself for part of what I want to do. The first time I tried it, I was able to cut 2 1/4" wide strips from a 12" piece, and then further cut those strips down to 1/8" with a simple jig (you can find plenty of DIY jigs online). I'm waiting for them to test them on my test wraps but I do not see any reason why they won't work Having gone through this bunch, I will be back for more if I complete it.

These old Army snowshoes have served me well for over 40 years, so I'm wondering how they obtained their previous history. Their appearance suggests that they are still capable of serving for many years to come.

Thanks a lot. We used this rawhide lace to reinforce the rawhide seating of our chairs. Because I had never done this before, I did not remove the ancient rawhide that had been broken in a few spots, but reinforced them structurally with new rawhide. Furthermore, I had no idea how to do this type of seating and couldn't find any tutorials online. It's not a perfect skill, but you can see that I have blended old with new. It was really amazing to work with this rawhide since it covered an entire chair with one piece. You'll find errors if you look too closely! However, I was not happy with the product. Thank you for providing quality material in order to work with.

Can you get wet, use it, then dry it out so that you can use it again? One interesting feature of this rawhide is that it is very uniform and two, it is tougher than any natural material, and three, it is a This is a really great product. I have purchased it several times and will continue to do so.

Several reviewers have stated that the strips are uneven, but for me, this product was satisfying. This did not seem to be the case to me However, the variations were not so great that it prevented me from using the strip as a hand drum attachment. The material was well suited to taking on water and drying.

It was used to restore some vintage snowshoes. I was happy with the result. My only concern is that the only way you know they are real rawhide after soaking them in water is how disgusting the smell is!.

When I found this product, I was thrilled, as it is exactly the kind of quality and thickness I was looking for. Nevertheless, I will have to order it again since my dog enjoyed it as well. It is a problem I had not thought of before. Don't forget to put yours away once you've made a note. A costly lesson.
