It is a bit misleading from the pictures that you see of this product being used as a boot lace. According to the picture, it seems like a lace of a regular size. It may work if the boots are the size of little kids' The stuff has a lot less leather than I had hoped for, and although it is nice quality leather, it was not designed for use as boot laces or anything else that would be heavy duty. The product wasn't what I thought it would be, but it's not worth returning either. It's probably my fault for not understanding the measurements, but the pictures are also not accurate.
The lace I bought was to replace one that was broken on a boot. I had to cut my new boot lace twice after I placed it in my boots, when I was trying to tie them. In addition to looking nice, the leather seems to be consistently cut, as I did not detect any thin spots or other issues. When it broke, I replaced it with a new lace that lasted for years before I broke it, and I tied my boots the same way I always had. If I were to make some leather crafts, this leather would be an option for ornamental or light duty work but do not assume that the sturdy look of the leather will withstand stress.
Product description states it can be used to tie heavy duty boot laces. I could not even tie it up without it If you are making crafts or decorating purses, this product would work well, but I would not use it for animal tack, and it is not suitable for boots. A real leather product is also a bit of a stretch. It is what you can feel, smell, touch, and weigh. There is a synthetic or foam feel to it. Buyer beware, however.
There was a feature about boot laces being used with this product. The first time I tried to tighten up the laces after cutting the laces, the lace broke. There is a pair of shoe laces on my boot that has lasted for eight North Conway, New Hampshire, is where I purchased them. In my opinion, it's not as close as it could be. BOUGHT BOOT LACES ARE NOT RECOMMENDED!.
As part of my work attire, I wear logging boots. I live in an area where there aren't many good leather boot lace shops. I thought to myself when I saw these and how they were rated that I have found my solution to my boot lace dilemma. After cutting and sizing a pair of log laces to my desired length, I cut 2 log laces each the same The laces broke as I pulled them tight. Putting on my boots, I tightened my laces to my desired tightness. It's so annoying! Craft leather that is good To go to work, you probably do not want someone tugging on your laces.
As large as a baseball, the spool looks like many other similar devices. Be prepared for it to be smaller than you anticipated.
The quality of the service.
