Questions & Answers

How would I sew patches onto my cow leather biker jacket if I wanted to give it a new look? Does it work best with a size ?

The answer is yes. Leather gloves are usually sewn with gloves needles. I am afraid I cannot answer your question about size. The thicker the leather, of course, the more effort required. If you can't open it with pliers, you may need small needle nose pliers to make it easier to open. Always remember that the hole will be larger if the needle is larger. To get a feel for the process, it is advised to purchase a small leather scrap first. Hope everything works out for you.

The version I am using is 4 Sewing thread comprised of two plies of waxed linen. Can you tell me what size needle is best to use?

I am not sure if this is accurate. A 4 ply #100 silk thread (very thin, fine thread) or a 4 ply # 30 or even larger thread determines the needle size. Generally, the needle size is determined by the thread weight, not the ply. Sometimes the thread spool or packaging will indicate needle size. Glaver needles come in a variety of It will cause ebrasion and shred your thread if the needle hole is too small. When you have too large of a needle eye, your thread will be loose and you will have difficulty applying There are several sizes of needles you'll need to experiment with before you find your perfect fit.

Can you tell me if any of these needles are ?

There are none bent all are straight.

Is there a way to determine the size of the container? In my work, I use two layers of soft deer skin to make pouches and bags. Thanks a lot! ?

I like to use needles that feel good in my hands as they are XL in size. My needles measure .25 inches, but you could use any size you want. This is the second version and it works

These are the dream of a product
5/5

Another brand was a nightmare. The punch). As soon as they arrived, I put one through the double-blind test The skin consists of two layers of eight ounces, divided by nine inches The weight of a 15-ounce bottle should be 7 ounces It had a 16-ounce total thickness) and a triple juncture of 8-ounce veg (although skived, it was still more than 5/16 I can't believe how smoothly the needle glided through all layers- nothing seems to have hampered it. It was even easier than I anticipated because I did not have to pre-plan Put a hole in it! It may seem fragile, but John James needles size 3 have a rugged and durable end. As long as both 0 and 1 are specified, I can thread it. The 8mm and 1mm are the same as each other. The tiger thread is 0. 0 mm thick and holes are 1. 0 mm. It takes a bit more attention and time to cut 0 mm (you have to cut diagonally). Particularly, I admire how these are finished inside the eye so the thread does not fray (this was one of the biggest problems with The quality was so great that I have already ordered another pack, but with size 1, this time. The only thing I would like is if Amazon carried their saddle needles (blunt tip) as well.

The sewing of leather and pelts is really easy with these
5/5

I have never worked with other glovers needles that were as good as these. The needles I used worked well with the pelts I sometimes have to pierce and stitch, but they were tough to get through with other needles that I have used. The price may seem a bit higher, but the quality is worth the additional expense.

It has been recommended by several sites (#2), and it is the most common size available
4/5

It has been recommended by several sites (#2), and it is the most common size available. The #2 size is a bit small for the work I do with buckskin and buffalo skin. Furthermore, I find them to be sharp and of good quality, and they were delivered on time by the seller. It would be my recommendation to use both of them.

They become slightly brittle as they get dull, so they can easily break
4/5

Due to the fragility, I am giving only a few pieces. Since the needles are brittle, they can break after a long time of use. As a result of the brittleness, I am only giving this item I have used some other needles that seem to bend out of shape all the time. Even at the very low price per needle of these though, I am seriously recommending these to anyone who sews on skin.

The images I was looking for are exactly what I wanted
5/5

It's very good. The images I was looking for are exactly what I wanted. It is easier to poke through leather when the tips are very sharp. In the future, I will definitely purchase these again.

I like it! Sharp as a tack! The rubber is a little bit softer than I would have liked, and it bends too readily
4/5

Still, it's a pretty good product.
