The 12 Pack Marlin Spike Kit offered a lot more than just a Lacing Needle Or Fid, which is what I was originally looking for. Besides lacing needles for 100 and 550 paracord, clippers, tweezers, storage pouches, and many other tools I can't remember, there were a lot of other tools as well.

Although the supplied fids and tools appear to be good quality, the supplied scissors are barely strong enough to cut paper, let alone the paracord they are supposed to be used with.

This kit has a lot of flexibility! There is a paracord for every need in this kit, from a very thin paracord to the much larger Kevlar core Sensor cord

Unlike the jag that has long fids, the marlin spike itself comes unscrewed from both ends. It also includes a hole for a needle and heavy thread in case of an emergency. It's a pretty good deal at that.
