Thank you for inquiring about the suitability of these starfish for outdoor use. If they are exposed to the elements for an extended period of time, they will eventually deteriorate. They'll be less affected by sunlight than by water, but they'll eventually decompose in either case. They won't go bad over night, but you won't get much more than a season out of them if they're left out in the open.
They're a little delicate, but I suppose you could make a thin rope out of them. Wrap one of the tips of a "finger" in type. It can be hung there. Alternatively, tie a string of them together to drape over a wall or valence.

a pair of finger stars I was in York Beach, Maine, and couldn't find these in any of the stores: They suggested I try Amazon, and none of the stars had been damaged in transit. Each one is distinct and has a natural feel to it, but they all work together to create a cohesive look. I could detect a faint odor if I put my nose right up to it, but I didn't want to waste any more time cleaning them. I simply nailed them to the wall with two small nails. It reminded me of our trip to Maine, which was very enjoyable!.
The starfish were fantastic, and they were all in excellent condition when they arrived. These were used as decorations, and hot glue worked perfectly on them. The only drawback is that they have an unpleasant odor, which is reminiscent of fish. I used warm water, baking soda, dawn soap, and a small amount of bleach to clean them. They were washed twice to get rid of as much of the odor as possible. Since they could soften again, I didn't soak them for very long, only about a minute. They were, however, fantastic in general.

When we decided it would be easier to decorate a Nautical themed tree for year-round decor rather than finding a place to store the Christmas tree, we added these to it. It was only a matter of adding starfish, sea captains, sand dollars, and lighthouses to complete the scene.

Because I have a cat, I was concerned about their arrival, but she seemed unconcerned. These will be used to embellish a bathroom.
Not bad, but two of them are so badly deformed that they can't be used for anything. Just a waste of time. The rest of the day went well. br>I've spent more money on better.
