My sand dollars arrived in perfect condition. I was just thinking about how we used to go to the beach in Southern California and look for shells, sand dollars, and sand crabs about 50 years ago. If you were willing to venture beyond the waves, you could even find abalone and lobster. There is nothing left on the beaches of Southern California except trash and people. I'm afraid I contributed to the decline (even though I was only about 10 years old), and I'm curious about the sand dollars. Regardless, these sand dollars are quite nice.

These are the cutest little baby sand dollars I've ever seen. I arranged them on a wooden tray alongside miniature starfish, bud vases, and air plants. Put it all in a fireplace that gets used maybe three times a year (Florida). Adds a touch of coastal farmhouse decor to a room that was previously empty. The firebox was painted black high heat paint and the brick fireplace was painted white.

These are for a driftwood tree that I purchased. They're real sand dollars, and they're adorable. Some were broken, but I suppose that's to be expected with such a delicate natural product. The scent was not particularly fishy, but it did have a salty, sticky feel to it.
