When they're submerged in water, they don't shrink until it evaporates. So, however long it takes for the water in the container to evaporate, that's how long they'll shrink. The water at the top of the container will evaporate first, so those at the top of the container will shrink first.
Yes. They can't float because they aren't made of water. Fill the container halfway with water. They swell and swell and swell and swell and s There are enough for a few different centerpieces. They're tiny, with a diameter of about a quarter inch.
It could have been a bad batch, but mine turned out to be fantastic! I had a birthday party on December 14th, 2019, and on Saturday night around 10 p.m., I filled a large tote with water, then poured the beads in when I awoke at 7 a.m. My tote was full of beautiful see-through beads that looked like diamonds and were running over in my tube that morning on December 14th, and they are still standing strong today, January 14th. I had to take some out of my tote and divide them up with a 30 gallon trash bag in my big laundry basket in order for my husband to pick the tote up out of my tube because it was really really heavy. I LOVE THEM AND THAT WAS MY FIRST TIME PUTTING THAT MANY IN THERE, AND IF I KNEW THAT 50000 WOULD MAKE THAT MANY, I WOULD NEVER PUT THAT MANY IN THERE AGAIN. I JUST TRYED TO MAKE SURE MY VASES HAD ENOUGH BALLS.
Hello, after their initial expansion, they do not need to be kept in water. Once the water in my vases has been drained, I place all of my expanded gel beads in a strong clear trash bag, tie it tightly, and place it in a strong bucket. They do not shrink at all, which is incredible! I've already used this method for three separate events that took place months apart. I keep them at room temperature and once left them in my car during a heat wave, and they stayed the same! br>Katrina wishes you luck with your beading.

This is a deceptive advertisement. It says 50,000 on the description and sticker, but it also says it's an 8. 8 oz. bag (. (55 lbs. ). The 8. The amount of food in an 8 oz bag is more like 10,000 than 50,000.
It appears to be absolutely stunning.
I purchased both clear and blue. Before you use them, you must give them TIME and SPACE to expand. I started with a tablespoon to see how they would turn out, checking on them every 30 minutes or so. Some recommend soaking them overnight, but I think mine were fully expanded in about 6 hours. You'll need to put them in a much larger container than you think, and I'll include some pictures for transparency. The picture with only clear beads is exactly that - a picture of only clear beads. BEADS THAT ARE CLEAR AND NOTHING ELSE. To create the illusion of floating balls (as seen in the photo with the large blue balls - Separately available – in it), you must FILL THE VASE WITH WATER - enough to make you "invisible" by covering as many beads as you want. Because the beads at the top aren't covered up, they can be seen. If you want, you can top them off with a floating candle. The other picture uses a combination of blue and clear beads to create a lighter blue effect; someone suggested transporting them in a 5-gallon bucket, which worked well. I also transported a smaller portion in a baggie. br>WARNING: THIS PAGE CONTAINS MATERIAL THAT MAY BE HAZARDOUS TO YOUR if they are dropped - They're going to bounce and roll all over the place! br>BONUS - If you complete all of the challenges, you will receive a bonus. Fill the bucket with your hands and play with them - They have a very soothing effect on me.
I HAD SUCH A GOOD TIME MAKING THESE TWO VASES THAT I MADE TWO MORE AS GIFT VASES FOR MY MOTHER. niece. When it comes to clear bead gels, a little goes a long way. I made two large vases and had enough left over to make two more, plus at least two more smaller vases. I can't wait to get my hands on some more. I even used some subversive lighting to add to the mix.
I used food coloring to make the beads absorb it. They took on a lovely rose gold hue. I put a photo of them in the glass cylinder, as well as a battery-operated tea light wrapped in saran wrap, to demonstrate how well they will glow at night. This is an excellent item.
This is completely absurd. This doesn't resemble the image at all. This is completely false and misleading. I bought these to fill the vases for my wedding, but they aren't even close to filling one vase. This is horrifying and absurd.
I only used half a pack and had plenty to fill my four jars on nine tables. You can put gold beads in them and make them look like they're floating if you put some water in them. Simply do not fill the water up to the point where the clear beads are submerged, or the gold beads will sink to the bottom. Furthermore, a small amount goes a long way. I mixed them with water in a 5-gallon bucket. I would strongly suggest it. They were regarded as being extremely cool by everyone.
I purchased these with the intention of using them in a glass vase as a substitute for marbles or stones. Nope! They don't seem to have much of a place in floral arrangements. The stems are too light and slick to be held by the balls. They are, however, extremely cool: They grow from the size of a grain of sand to the size of a pea. They're the right size for a clear glass vase, and they look great in it. I'm not sure what else they could be used for, but floral arrangements certainly aren't one of them.
