Questions & Answers
Yes! I was a little hesitant as well, but with a little bit of ingenuity, it all came together beautifully.
The products did not appeal to me. The quality of the cutters was poor. The tape was not able to adhere to the surface. The wire was the only redeeming feature, but it was not worth $14.
There is no pre-tapping of the wire.

I bought this to make a washcloth bouquet for a baby shower, but I'm not a florist, and I thought the floral tape was too sticky. It wasn't able to maintain its position. I was about to return the kit when I decided to look up how to use floral tape. I tried the technique and found it to be much more effective. It would have saved me a lot of trouble if the kit had come with instructions. The trick is to stretch the tape sufficiently while wrapping in order for the wax to be released and adhere.
If you're new to floral designs and don't have the necessary supplies, this is a good starter kit to get you started on a project at a lower cost while you figure out your favorite brands, colors, and so on. I already had some of the supplies included in this kit, but I needed to re-stock. I was low on a few things, so I decided to give this a shot because of the low price. br>Not a deal breaker, but a couple of things to keep in mind: 1) There's a mechanical oil-based product-based product-based product-based When you open the package, there's an odor that you don't expect. After a few hours of airing out, it goes away. 2) I wish it had thicker wires as well, ie. 18gauge. The 26 gauge wires are a little thin for my purposes, but they can easily be doubled, so it's not a big deal. 3) Although floral tape is tacky, I found it to be more difficult to use than the one I currently have - Maybe a little less flex? It does the job, but it may take some acclimating.
I never received the entire kit that was displayed; This KIT is a JOKE because I received two rolls of floral tape that do not work and floral wire. Don't make the same mistake I did with my money.
It worked well for making wedding bouquets and boutennieres. We discovered that we needed to dampen the paper tape in order for it to adhere better; It does not adhere to itself in the way that one would expect. I haven't tried the wire yet, but they appear to be sturdy, as does the clipper set.
This is an excellent accessory set. All of the flowers for my wedding were created by me. This included six bridesmaid bouquets, twelve boutonnieres, six corsages, a bridal bouquet, and twenty large table arrangements. Unless you have a pair of floral scissors, that is. Although the tape isn't particularly sticky, it does stick to itself, which is a much better option. It's just a matter of wrapping it tightly and it'll stay put. In addition, the three color options are appealing.
I bought this kit because it had everything I needed for a low price, but I was aware that I would be risking some quality issues. But I went ahead and placed my order. I had to use hot glue to secure the ends of the floral tape because it didn't work as well as it should have. The wire cutters were AWFUL, to the point of being useless. Normal scissors worked better for some of the thinner wire, but it's well worth the money, and all of the wire is excellent.
The tape had a lot of flaws in it - None of the three rolls stuck when I tried them. To get the tape to stay in place, I had to wrap the wire around it and then pull out the pliers. Because of the tape malfunction, I had to start cooking 30 minutes later than planned for a bridal shower. Everything worked out fine, but I would not purchase this set - Is it possible that the inventory is bad and old, and the tape has lost its stickiness as a result? The wire cutters were also quite weak, and the wire itself was far too strong, but with a few finger "ouch" moments and pliers, I was able to coax them into working. Oh - Also, the long pieces of wire for the crown's base would have been easier to work with if they were in a roll rather than cut pieces, as I had to twist a couple of them together. Overall, I learned a lot about what I really needed from all of the components.
Excellent value for money. This collection is well worth the money, and it includes everything you need, whether you're a seasoned user or a novice. I'm relieved that I won't have to place multiple orders just to get the essentials.
