Our daughters' interests have always been supported by us. Her latest pastime, now that she's enrolled in Community College, is hating her parents. So we made voodoo dolls of ourselves out of these doll kits and gave them to her for Christmas. I'm sure she'll continue to despise us, but all we want to do is show our support. br>Hat pins are available separately.
I purchased two of these dolls and was taken aback by how inexpensively they were made. br>The doll-making pieces they send you are either cut exactly at or mostly less than the actual amount you'll need. There isn't even a millimeter of extra fabric to tangle with. Some of the fabric was cut even shorter, forcing you to make do with what you had on hand. br>Using double-sided tape may be a good idea if the kids do it themselves, but kids cannot be as precise as adults, so not sending an extra milimeter of fabric will only lead to frustration and failure. br>If you're an adult assembling this doll, be prepared to sew the pieces together. You couldn't sew them together because there isn't a single piece that overlaps, causing the fabric to fray at the ends after just two days and the not-sewn-together not-sewn-together not-sewn-together not-sewn-together not-sewn-together not-sewn- The pieces of sticky sticky tape simply fall off as the tape loses its stickiness. The colored pencils, on the other hand, are incredible; they worked flawlessly, and the doll's eyes and mouth were the only parts that didn't "fall off" or fade. br>br>I am extremely dissatisfied with this product and would not recommend it to a friend! Now I have two little girls who were so excited to make their own dolls that they now only play "hot potato" with these nekkid doll bodies, referring to them as "hot po- "weirdoll" is a term used to describe a doll that.
This doll-making kit's concept is appealing, but it is impractical. For her birthday, my daughter was obsessed with mermaids, so I chose this project for her because she enjoys crafts. The materials are all in good condition, and the instructions are easy to understand. Everything is held together by double-sided tape, however. The hair has surprisingly stayed on the longest, but all of the scales came off within a day, so this isn't a doll they can play with once it's put together. This was not a good project, and I was disappointed with the results. It makes a cute doll, but because of the tape, it only looks like a mermaid. I gave it three stars because if you wanted to spend more time on it, you could handstitch the fabric on and have a nice project, but that would necessitate more adult assistance.
This was a gift for my 9-year-old son. Precision cutting of the material is extremely difficult. The double-sided tape is difficult to use and not very effective, and the instructions are lacking. I had hoped this would be a project she would enjoy, but I would not recommend it to anyone under the age of 11 because there was a lot she couldn't do and the supplies were at best subpar. I bumped the rating from 2 to 3 stars because she loved the end result.
This was by far the worst craft I've ever attempted with my granddaughter. I was thankful for Alexa's constant conversion of centimeters to inches. I had to use my glue gun because the glue included was as hard as a rock. The colored pencils that were supposed to be used for the eyes and mouth were ineffective. There were a plethora of guidelines to follow. It's extremely difficult and not something I would recommend.
These tiny dolls were a big hit with me. I'll admit that cutting scales out of that material was excruciating on my wrist and took far too long, which is why I didn't give it five stars. I didn't use any of the adhesives included in the kit. I used a hot glue gun, and the dolls are still holding up after three days, with one being handled by a four-year-old. Despite the fact that they took us 4 hours to complete (mostly due to the cutting of all the pieces and the fact that I had two kits), they turned out super cute in the end. )) but we were so taken with them that we also ordered the fairy and princess kits. Hopefully, they won't have as many pieces to cut this time.
I felt compelled to assist, so I looked for a double-decker bus. Trying to get rid of double-sided tape was a pain. This is impossible for a child to do. It also necessitated some sewing, and the amount of nylon wire provided for the necklace made tying it extremely difficult, so I substituted thread. The instructions should be written in a different order (e. g. , e. g. , e. g. , e. g. The Mermaid necessitated cutting out items (i. e. , put the hair on last, etc. ). The Fairy kit was simple to use and had no issues.
Because the doll was already sewn together, I assumed that the child would make the entire doll. The doll is small, and you can only decorate her with double-sided tape and non-sticky white glue. I'm not sure if I'd buy it again. The gown is already slipping off my shoulders. Simply use a colored pencil to draw in the face. It was a bit of a letdown.
