Because I don't use lubricants, I am unaware of their existence. I use a craft hot air blower to harden my clay because it doesn't crack it and allows me to see how hard it is. It is also more efficient.
Please don't use Vaseline or any other petroleum-based product. It will damage the clay's integrity if you use a petroleum-based product. Most polymer clay artists use a light dusting of a powder (such as cornstarch). If you want to use something other than powder, a light spray of "Pam" cooking spray will suffice. I hope this information is useful.
Although polymer clay is non-toxic, you should exercise caution and follow the following guidelines: Don't eat it, don't eat it off of it, use clay-specific tools, and don't let it burn.
I've only ever baked it because that's how the recipe calls for it. It will not dry out due to exposure to the elements. My daughter left some out for months and it remained the same. After baking, it does not crumble. For years, I've used them to make holiday ornaments, and they've held up admirably. Apart from describing it as baked clay, it's difficult to put into words how it feels.

Because she is just starting out, she does not have all of the fancy clay-working equipment. And Scupley is by far the best! She has tried a variety of other types, each of which has its own set of issues. Too hard, and the color fades, the cracks and pieces fall apart, and so on. br>Here are some of our favorites:br>- COLOR - The colors are vibrant and consistent. After baking, none of them have ever faded or lost their color.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. You have the option of using your oven. You don't need any special equipment to do this. Simply use the oven in your kitchen.
- SOFT - The clay is always extremely pliable. It will not dry out if kept in an open container for weeks (I don't recommend it, but it is possible). br>- CRACKS ARE EXTREMELY RARE. The dryer the clay gets after baking, the more likely it is to crack or break. When you put it in, Scupley looks exactly like it did before. It's just a little harder.
- OPTIONS - There are a plethora of color options available. Sculpey has every color you could possibly need for a project. br>br>We HIGHLY recommend it!.
For something you can get for half the price at a craft store, it's way overpriced. However, the end result is always consistent.
This product was ideal because it was simple to use and mold into the shape that my son required. I'll be ordering more in the near future.
The material is extremely gentle. Molding is a breeze. It bakes up nicely.
All levels of experience will find it simple to use.
As a result, four stars for quality and excellent bubble wrap packaging! I gave it a one-star rating because I expected it to be a little bigger than it was; it's only about two quarters long. I invested four dollars. On a black and green card, the number 73 appears. Overall, it's fantastic!.
It is completely dry. It was caked in my hand, and I had two packs, so it wasn't a one-time occurrence.
This clay has a poor quality. This isn't meant to be used in the creation of jewelry.
