Questions & Answers
Ten holes are located on the bottom of the bat. The distance between the two is 5 inches.
I have pins that measure 9" in diameter, and they fit
The answer is yes. In fact, the bottom side has two sets of holes separated by nine inches. One set is spaced nine inches apart, the other is ten
That is a great question, thanks! This Brent Model J wheelhead has a 14" wheelhead and looks like a standard Brent wheelhead, but its batpin spacing is 10". So you should be able to use this bat.

I don't like the 12" because it's not sturdy. The reason I chose this bat is that many people have said it is robust and won't warp. I've read a lot of reviews about bats with pin holes underneath (so I can throw plates all the way to the edge). The first time I used it was with a 3-inch tablet I was trying to center a 7-lb ball of clay and could feel all the ridges underneath that provide support. Because the plastic was too thin, it dipped just enough to compromise the ridges, making centering a rather unpleasant There was not warping on the bat and the bat pins fit snugly, but I couldn't use it because the ridges constantly bumped against my hand with each rotation. It would not be worth it to My hope is that I can use it for something else.
It has been difficult for me to attach the bat to the wheel head, despite the fact that they are rigid. This part is not smooth on the bottom (See picture), so you have a difficult time finding the small holes to lock it into the bolt heads protruding on the wheels. As they are quite expensive, I bought one and no longer intend to use it. It is easier to use plain massonite bats!.
A bat with a perfectly flat underside, a tough, easy to clean underside, and a reinforced bottom. This bat will not warp as easily as bats that are double sided unless it is There are two holes, one for a 14" wheel and one for You only need to wipe the surface after throwing one piece, and then the next ball of clay can be used.
Switch to another bat instead. My first thought was to bring my own bats so that I wouldn't have to worry about looking for them in my ceramics class. Moreover, the colors were very pleasing to the eye. Due to its wobbly nature, it makes for a very difficult experience. By the third time of using it, it had to be thrown away. The product I purchased was very disappointing.
Despite claiming to be universal, these did not fit my Lockerbie Kick Wheel. Although they seemed good quality, this did not fit the Kick Wheel. A little over an inch seemed to be missing from the holes. There are 11 inches between the pegs on my wheel.
The batts are ribbed under the top surface which surprised me, since I expected them to be flat on both sides. As far as I'm concerned, this is fine. The wooden ones bloat like plastic ones, but the plastic ones work fine and are stable with water.
I have always felt that these bats are the best I've used! This is a nice, sturdy product, and I suspect it will hard to bend. There is a smooth texture to the dress as well. I don't have to worry about burning my hands. The plus side. I'm clear on which color they are. My plans are to buy more of these in the future.
A great alternative to a larger bat. In addition, there is less space wasted than with larger round For a potter, this is a must have.
