It has a maximum used temperature of 2300 degrees Fahrenheit. It has a high density of 20 - 24 pounds per square foot.

In terms of compression strength, vacuum cast ceramic fiber refractory insulation board has a strength at 25% deformation - Linear linear shrinkage 3 would be permanent. The maximum amount of leaching occurs at 2200°F when exposed to 24 hours. It is predicted that soaking heat loss on ignition (LOI) will be 4-7% at 1832 F.

The ceramic fiber thermal insulation board can easily be cut and used with a hacksaw blade and knife. You can also drill or machine it to fit various dimensions such as square holes or round holes.

There are a variety of applications for ceramic fiber insulation board, including wood stoves, fireplaces, pizza ovens, kilns, forges, pellet stoves, heater linings, boiler walls, furnace hot face linings, heat shields and combustion chambers.

I was very impressed with the packaging. The contents of the first box were placed within a second I was a bit disappointed with the product's very slight smudge, but if you plan on using it for a fireplace, that really wouldn't matter, would it? In order to use it as kiln shelves, I am going to try to cut it in half. The panel I ordered was delivered on time and I had a positive purchasing experience. Thanks a lot! I will order another one when I require one.
