In our experience, the short fibers are not the proper material for mufflers, as they are prone to blowing out the tail pipe, however, the material has held up for several During the initial start up of the vehicle, I noted some minute fibers in the tail pipe, but I have not noticed any more since my initial observation. A MASK, EYE PROTECTION, AND GLOVES should be worn when handling this type of material. If it gets in the wrong place, it can cause one hell of an irritation. Even though it is supposedly non-carcinogenic, it is still capable of irritating people badly if applied.
