Questions & Answers

Will this product hold up to a clear overspray of lacquer or urethane once it has dried?

Once the items have dried, I added more, sanded, and then clear coated them. The only thing you need to know is that it is water-based. When you put on clear coats or lacquer, it is always a surprise. When the colors pop, and sometimes when colors don't seem to be as vivid as they were, they become The grain of wood is beautiful, and the color is bold. This tool has been fun to use, and I have come up with many creative uses for My wood has also been painted to a solid color, several coats at a time. Having seen what I saw online, I have come up with my own methods that save me a lot of time and money. Have fun and I hope this helps!

Can it be used on concrete countertops if they are sealed when finished?

My wife and I used it in a renovated house to remove linoleum from an old concrete floor. We are thrilled with the results. If I didn't like the look of the final product, I could rinse it off and start again. My goal was to achieve a more marbled effect by merging several colors. It seems that concrete is somewhat difficult to wipe off so if it is freshly poured I may practice on an extra piece first. I also have concrete countertops in my kitchen that I have used to fill scratches and knife marks (someone used them as a cutting board, a Here are some tips I hope will help. Hope you have a good day! It's a little tricky to figure it out, but I'll send you pictures

Does it need to be sanded smooth before clear coat is applied?

It is unclear what the question is. What should I do to prepare for the CPA exam? Would you mind telling me what varnish you use?

Do you think this can be mixed with epoxy or resin?

As far as I know, I haven't mixed epoxy with it. The coating of epoxy has been applied once it has dried.

My reason for selecting Unicorn Spit was that this was my first time antiquing and so I knew I would probably make mistakes so I liked being able to wipe them away with a slightly dampened cloth
5/5

As a way of antique/distressing a dresser, I applied this over acrylic paint. My reason for choosing Unicorn Spit for this project was that it was my first time antiquing and I knew I'd probably make mistakes, so I liked being able to wipe them away with cheesecloth dampened with a little water. After that, I let the project sit for a couple of days before sealing it up.
Now it needs to be painted and sealed with polyurethane - There is a leak on the Unicorn Spit sealant, so it bled and lifted. My guess is that this could be an issue caused by using Unicorn Spit over a latex paint. I then sprayed sealant on the rest of the dresser, allowed it to dry for a day, and then I used a brush to finish it. Polyurethane is used on this surface. It is thanks to the spray sealant that the Unicorn Spit doesn't run when it is brushed over. I have a sealant on me. It was for the following reasons that I used this brush I sprayed sealant after I had already sprayed it, in order to get a shiny, The project has been a tremendous success, and I am so pleased with how it Hopefully I will have the opportunity to use Unicorn Spit in other colors in the future!.

Dark black is good as a sealer for wood when used with some waterbased sealants
5/5

Despite reading a great deal about how you are not supposed to use a water-based sealant, it is not completely In many projects involving wood furniture, I have used the midnight black unicorn spit. It is so good that I have abandoned the oil-based black gel stain I had been using With it, I use the varathane water based triple thick sealant, and it works excellently. There will be a little stain that comes off on the brush when you seal it, but no running or damage to the color will occur. On any other surface, I cannot speak to the efficacy of this combination. As well as preferring this method over oil based paint, I think it hides imperfections better. For instance, if there is any glue left behind. To apply the unicorn spit, I use gloves and an old sock to rub it into the top layer of the skin. In my experience, I seal it using a paintbrush (I wouldn't use a chip brush) and I seal it in small sections at a time, going fairly quickly. Don't bite off more than you can chew and seal very carefully. Here's an interesting hack I hope others will find useful. In conclusion, this unicorn spit is technically more expensive per ounce than an oil-based gel stain but it also does not have the foul lingering smells and dries much faster than an oil-based stain. You won't regret the trade off at all!.

This could be useful, but it's not really a glaze or stain unless you mean it like a glaze for pottery before firing
3/5

This is more like a chalky finger paint than a stain or glaze. It is a good thing that this stuff does not actually set on its own. There's no other way for it but to dry In other words, once you realize that you don't want it, all you need to do is wash it off with water. Although you may get a very mild stain, it's neither here nor there, so if you're going to paint over it anyway, why bother? In addition, if you use an alcohol or oil-based stain, it will hide whatever tint you may have imparted. But if you think you can use this product on its own, and then spill a bit of water on it, you'll end up with something that looks more like the "I ran into Tammy Faye at the mall" t-shirt. My hats off to those who mix this with other mixtures so it can swirl and do all the cool stuff in the pictures that made me want to try it, but I gave it one star since I do not think it is what it claims to be on its own. It is too late for me to return it, but if I could, I would do so.

Stylish, unique, and worth the money, Glaze is the perfect addition to any home
5/5

Invented by nature, not manufactured Medium with a jasmine scent, which is non-toxic, water-based, and vibrantly colored. Whether you're a child or an adult, it can be used indoors, on a variety of surfaces, and it's safe for everyone. Depending on the application, it can be diluted by up to 70% with water to be used as a stain on porous surfaces, or as a paint or glaze at full strength. The U. S. differs from most other countries in a number of ways. When diluted, S doesn't lose its vibrant and strong properties. In addition to wood, canvas, metal, plastic, fabric, glass, laminate, and more, it can be used on numerous other surfaces as well. It is important to always seal your initial work with an oil based sealer so it will last a lifetime. The S should not reactivate (returning to wetness and bleeding again). No toxic substances are present in the product. I love how beautiful this gray is, it works perfectly for distressing or weathering a project. It is awesome for creating cloudy scenes or.

The only problem is that it dries very quickly
5/5

To give my kitchen cabinets some extra depth, I wanted to build them deeper. This is a really dark gray I painted after the light gray. I mixed the black and dark gray together to get the A glaze was then applied to the cabinets to give them a very unique appearance. My goal is to finish the cabinets this weekend, but I am currently working on the doors. This is a great product. I'd recommend using a spray bottle if you're going to work on a larger area, or have more time to work on it. Since this will dry quite quickly, I recommend using a protective coating over it because it will wear off over time when touched frequently.

It is one of the greatest things that has ever happened This stain is my favorite! You are the only one limiting its uses
5/5

Its only limitation is your creativity. Currently we are remodeling our small house, and I bought the black to finish our kitchen cabinets, but once we have the space to store them, I intend to buy every color. I love it!.

It was a real mess, I was very frustrated
3/5

When oil-based varnish is applied, it does lift out, as stated in one of the reviews. It is disheartening to see such a disappointing result after all the effort. Despite our best efforts, it's impossible to apply enough product to cover all the project. Just when we thought we had it covered, the original finish would show through. The next time I use this, I will not use it. I used the black and, as I wrote in a review, I found the dark grey hue to be quite light in the sun. It was a terrible The only thing to watch is that it takes a lot to cover a lot of stuff, and when varnished it lifts. Make sure you do your research.
