If you're interested in giving Alcohol Ink a shot. My first thought is to try it out on the back (the cork backing will hide any errors)! br>First, try Kamar finishing spray (the same one you'd use to seal AI on yupo), then ink, and finally resin. br>Anything that creates a slick surface, in my opinion. Good luck! br>(I poured on mine, then resined them, and they turned out beautifully!
Yes, these ceramic tiles can be covered with vinyl.
The cork backing should never be applied before baking because it will melt.
Because the ceramic has no glaze, you'll probably want to seal the edges first.

So dissatisfied and disappointed, it says in the description that it works with infusible ink process, but it doesn't, and it's terrible, so it shouldn't be used with Cricut!.
Because the ceramic isn't glazed, paint adheres well and dries much faster than it would on glazed tile, and the cork backing is thin but functional. They'll stand out with an epoxy resin finish.
The shape appealed to me, as did the ease with which it could be painted. Unfortunately, the tiles were not well enough packed to prevent chipping.
They appear to be of excellent quality and would be ideal for any coaster project, but mine arrived chipped. Except for 4 or 5, all of them had edges that were chipped. The seller could have done a better job packing them for shipping.
Two of the three orders turned out to be outstanding - I was very pleased with the quality of the coasters; none were chipped. My third purchase was for the same item, but at a lower cost. The coasters were a tad smaller and of lower quality than the others. When glazed, it was dusty and slightly discolored. I'm hoping for the best now that the price has returned to what it was for my first two orders ($19). 99), and they'll be back to the standard I was given previously.
