A candle that has these wicks smells like a tire fire when it's Using a bunch of expensive wax and essential oils would have been great if I had tested them first. This is a lesson I.
The hemp wick I have so far been using is made by three different brands. I tried one that was thick, then I tried another THIN one with a small flame, and it also worked well. Lastly, I tried this one that is thin but it worked well, too. ****Edit for style Observations after using it for a couple months suggest I might be doing something wrong, or the string might just have too much wax on it. After the flame reaches a height of 2 inches, wax will drip Do you know if anyone has used this for smoking? Could the wax inhaled be part of the problem? Now that I use it, I press a plastic card on the string then pull backwards until there is as little wax left on the card. Compared with the other candles, this one has a large flame, how would you use it to light the way at night if you needed to find something? There is more light coming from this one, but it burns more slowly. The smoke smell has what you would expect once you put it out. I couldn't smell any burning until it was extinguished and then I noticed it was clean.
Overall it is great.
For years, I've used hemp wick for my smoking accessories, so I've tried many different kinds of it, and this one may be my favorite! A favorite point for me is that there is no smell, and not excess wax is used, as I don't like to burn myself with unattended dripping. However, there is not too little in order for it not to The next time I restock, I'll make sure to buy again.
A wick like this is ideal for making candles. This is a nice, steady burn. Beeswax will work well for larger candles as well. I made tea light candles with it but I'm sure it can be adapted for larger candles as well.
This hemp wick product has been part of my EDC for quite some time now with great results. I now have it in my kit for starting a fire in an emergency. A hemp wick burns long and slowly, making it an ideal source of fire for survival situations.
Wicks like these do not hold up well. Likewise, I used the wax sheets instructed to double if need be, but it still failed to work. In the past, I have made candles from bees wax using cloth wicks and they worked Returning it would have been a good idea.
I particularly like how easy it is to use. My candlemaking experience with this wick has been extensive, and I strongly recommend it. We will definitely be purchasing again in the future.
Our candles look awesome thanks to these Wicks. My friends and family love how long the Wick lasts and tell me how good it is.
