I chose this product after reading a lot of reviews because I wanted to make sure I did everything right as a first-time candle maker, especially for Christmas gifts. I placed this in a simmering pan with water, with the handle directly over the bottom pan's handle, to keep the handle from coming into contact with direct heat. Pouring was not a problem for me at all. I am very pleased with my purchase.
It's almost comical how small the stir spoon is! When I first saw it, I burst out laughing. It's a complete waste of time. Everything else, on the other hand, is great, especially the hot pad that came with it.
Making candles in small batches was a breeze with this size. The trivet served as an excellent barrier between this pot and the larger pot of boiling water. It appears to be very durable.
I threw out the spoon because it was far too small, but the rest of the items worked perfectly.
For a beginner, it is simple.
It's crucial not to get air bubbles in your wax when making candles, and you'd do just that if you had a big ole spoon. Because it's so small, you can add fragrance by stirring it in. Gradually color without the need for air bubbles to be introduced br>Before pouring, preheat the candle jar to 160 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent air bubbles. If you use a large spoon, you'll be able to get a lot more done in less time. If you pour into a cold jar, you'll notice a lot of air bubbles, which detracts from the aesthetic. The candle's burnability can be an issue at times.
I'm a newbie candle maker who began with a 2 oz pot from a DIY kit. I decided to make more candles for family and friends, so I needed a larger pot, and this one fits the bill perfectly.
