Questions & Answers
You simply cannot do so. Mine had to be returned because it was no longer useful to me. Hansi Organics wax is now my sole source of wax. There is no odor of chemicals - It's completely free of contaminants. Hansi Orfanics wax can be found on Amazon or on their own website, but it is misrepresented as a product.
This is what I use to make lotion bars! It has a slight honey scent to it, but it isn't overpowering. Some scents don't go well together, but I've had success with sweet scents like orange and lavender.
I liked it a lot when I used it to make lotion bars. It seems like it would be ideal for chapstick.
The source of the beeswax is unknown, according to the company. They don't say anything about it on their website.

After reading some negative reviews, I was concerned that this beeswax would have a strong odor, but it didn't. When I open the bag, the only smell I detect is that of regular beeswax. It has a light floral scent to it. These pellets melted easily in a double boiler when I used them to make lotion bars. I'm very pleased with the results, and I'd gladly purchase these pellets again in the future.
There were no high expectations. I bought this to make sand candles with the kids, not as a body product, but it smelled so bad that the kids went outside on the patio to smell it. I just put it on low heat on the stove until it became liquid, like burned gasoline. It came in a package that looked exactly like the one in the photo, complete with the brand name (a Michigan-based firm). br>br>Manufacturer needs to address this issue, or improve QC, or change their description to "will smell so much like burned gasoline that your kids run away screaming," or at the very least tell us that's what it should smell like. On the plus side, I guess I got to make sand candles on my own, even if I had to hold my breath to do it.
Woodworking is one of my hobbies, and I'm currently working on cutting boards and cheese boards out of exotic and domestic woods. I had been using food-grade mineral oil to finish the boards, but I decided to make a spoon butter by adding bees wax to the oil. To avoid yellowing in the finish, I wanted to use white bees wax. Stakish was a great product. It melted quickly in the oil and cooled to a soft, white paste. Several coats applied over several days result in a very smooth finish that protects the wood while buffing to a satin sheen. When I give the boards to family or friends, I also include a container of the finish, as well as instructions on how to apply it and how often it should be applied to keep the wood in good condition. These boards should last for decades if they are properly cared for. br>br>The odor has been mentioned in other reviews. Although there is an odor in paste form, I did not find it to be offensive. I couldn't detect any odor after applying the finish, allowing it to absorb into the wood, and buffing it with a shop towel. br>br>I would recommend this wax and will order more once this batch is finished.
When the beeswax pellets arrived, the label stated clearly that they were white pellets of the highest quality. The pellets, however, were yellow in color and had a stronger odor than those found on Amazon. I tried melting a batch of it anyway for a product where the color of the beeswax is irrelevant, but after melting it, I discovered that it was dry, flaked, and rolled off the skin instead of coating it as cosmetic grade beeswax should. I am extremely dissatisfied with this purchase and will be returning it. I've included some photos, one of which compares the color of this product to my previous order of white beeswax. The wax peeling off my finger after I stuck it in the melted wax can be seen in the other photo. It wasn't able to coat the way it was supposed to. Buyer beware of this product because it is of poor quality.
I use beeswax on a regular basis and it has never turned out as well as this. It's impossible to get it on your skin. br>br>Horrible! br>br> Advertising that is deceptive.
Well. I always read product reviews before making a purchase, and everything appeared to be in good working order. Maybe it's just "that one," because I'm not impressed. The pellets melt fine, but hello, foul, burning rubber chemical odor. Any of the precious essential oils I used were overwhelmed by the stench, and I feel like everything was a waste! It's unusable. I even put the pellets in a mesh basket to allow them to air out of the packaging for a week, and they're still as stinky as they were when I first opened them.
P. br>I give it a thumbs down.
br>As others have stated, the smell of this wax is revolting. br>I purchased it with the intention of making candles - Even after adding the essential oils, the only thing I could smell was the wax. br>I'm not sure if it was just my order that caused the problem. Alternatively, if beeswax has an unusual odor - But I'm not going to buy it again. And I wouldn't use it to make candles.
