Thank you for your time and consideration, my friend; eco 14" and eco 16" wicks can be measured in diameter. Each hole measures 0.15" (4mm) in diameter.
I know it's made of white birch, and I'm sorry I couldn't be of more assistance. I know they work because I work with them every day.

The holes in these are far too small for candle wicks. I'm not sure what these are supposed to be used for because they don't fit any of the wick sizes I've tried, used, or seen. The wicks fall through the holes of these sticks once hot wax is poured into the jars because there is nothing to keep the wicks snug in/on the sticks. It's just a bunch of 1/16" popsicle sticks with holes drilled through them. Metal candle wick stabilizers, on the other hand, can be washed in the dishwasher.
It's extremely difficult to get these centered and working properly; the only way to do so is to use a lot of extra wick and tie it around the stick, but that's a waste of money. The only reason I gave it three stars is that they're easily reusable, so you're unlikely to purchase another set.
Rather than the more expensive wick holder options, this was purchased. br>br>Works well for me because I frequently pour 20 or more candles at a time, and these can be reused. It's a phrase that's been used a lot recently.
These are popsicle sticks with a hole in the middle that has been poorly pressed. When trying to fit a wick through over hot wax, some of the holes aren't completely punched through, which is extremely frustrating. Two of the three I was working with fell right into the hot wax because they were only long enough to rest on small jars. Furthermore, for some strange reason, they are severely overpackaged with two layers of plastic. Ugh.
I've used popsicle sticks before, but I like these better because they have holes in them. Simply pour (adjust as necessary) and move on to the next batch.
They get the job done, but the holes aren't always completely filled. However, depending on the size of the wick, this may be preferable. Overall, if you're making candles in large quantities and with a variety of scents, it's well worth the investment.
The price is excellent, and the process is simple.
