Wicks of substandard quality. Use these only if you're making a very small candle. The burn pool was an inch in diameter in my 2" candles, resulting in a lot of unmelted wax on the sides. The candle went out about five times before remaining lit.
There is no candle mix included in this kit. Water should never be used when making candles.
I've tried them out and they're fantastic.

I'd never made candles before and wanted to recycle some that had gone out of date, so I purchased this kit, which works perfectly! There are a few points to keep in mind: Because the adhesive circles are slightly larger than the metal wick anchors, you may want to cut them down to size, and I didn't record the temperature of the wax during my first pour. Because it was a little too hot, the wick came loose from the adhesive, you might want to use a thermometer or wait a few minutes before pouring the wax. Research the ideal pour temperature for the type of wax you have; after doing my research and using a thermometer to get the pour temperature just right, I was able to make my first candle in no time! Anyone interested in learning how to make candles should pick up this kit.
The products arrived in lightning speed and in perfect condition. I'm a complete novice, so the length of the wick was a major concern of mine. While I haven't measured it, I was delighted to discover that it is exactly the right size for the candle I want to make. I'm using a toilet paper tube, which has a diameter of approximately 1. It's all 5 inches. br>br>I'll update once I've made a few candles to give a more accurate review, but for now, it's a perfect 5! br>br>UPDATEbr>br>Still incredible. as well as everything I've made more than 50 candles so far, and they're still going strong. If I lost this set for any reason, I would without a doubt buy another.
This kit came in handy for decorating candle jars. Everything worked fine, but I realized that if the kit's pot had a hook handle, the boiling water would not have moved as much. The pot swung around a lot, causing the water to spill out. Anyway, to keep the pot steady, I used a bamboo spoon. Oh, and those metal wick holders, as well as chop sticks, work great!.
I was pouring my lotion bars and lip balm tubes into old candle containers, and this is exactly what the doctor ordered! Because I work in a small space, the pouring pot is the ideal size for fitting on the warmer where I melt my components - It's also simple to clean up!.
I'm a beginner, and this worked perfectly for me.
I had shattered bath and body works candles, so I carefully removed the wax and melted it down before pouring it into mason jars. I wish candlemaking wasn't so expensive, because this kit gave me the impression that I could do it!.
Because I'm new to candlemaking, I did a lot of research before purchasing this kit, and I was extremely disappointed. The wicks aren't thick enough for even a small candle, and they burn too quickly for the wax to burn evenly, resulting in the wick becoming covered in hot wax. I'd suggest purchasing wicks with a larger diameter so you don't run into the same problems I did. Overall, this was a disappointing purchase that I would not make again because the pitcher only holds enough wax for one small candle at a time.
On my first attempt, I found this product to be very simple to use (especially with the wick spacer/holder), but after burning one of the candles included in the kit, I discovered that the adhesive stickers used to hold the wicks down are pretty shoddy: When the wick reaches the bottom of the candle, the heated wax melts the adhesive, causing the wick to separate from the bottom and the remainder of the candle to be lost. I'd recommend removing the adhesive stickers and GLUEing the wick to the bottom instead. That was a major annoyance, as the entire point of buying this set was to reuse wax from inefficient candles that didn't burn completely. All of the other pieces in the set, on the other hand, are fantastic, earning the set four stars.
