Did you ever find out if these 1,100 yard floriani spools would work?
They're 3 1/2 inches long, which is long enough for me to put a regular spool of thread and the matching bobbin on one of them.
I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. The peg strips are attached to the side support pieces by snapping them into place. They keep their distance from one another. If that's what you're looking for, then you've come to the right place.
Drill two holes and secure with the screws provided. The molded holes in the design of the plastic racks make it easy to secure them to a surface.

I bought two of these thread racks because I was so pleased with them. The bright white color and plastic's durability appeal to me. There are no sharp edges, as I've seen on some wood racks. Yes, they are a little challenging to put together. br>br> When I snapped the pieces together, I ended up using a kitchen towel for extra padding in my hand. For me, that was a good solution. It was also very easy to hang them on the wall. I hung them from top to bottom to make it appear as if they were one unit rather than two. br>br>I'm a big fan of the long spindles. Because they're so long, I can tuck the matching bobbin beneath the spool to keep them together. Peels can be used on an almost full spool of thread and still fit next to another spindle because the spacing between spindles is sufficient. br>br>Sizing guide for my photographs: br>Netting on top spools - 1 12" wide base - The spool is 2 18" tall - Bottom spools with Peels - 1100 yard spool spool measures 12" wide by 3" high - a spool with a total length of 1200 yards.
Because I sew in a small cargo trailer, I place a premium on using wall space rather than shelf space. I bought two of these racks to keep all of my serger thread cones organized. Another reviewer expressed similar sentiments about why he or she purchased the rack, and expressed satisfaction with it, but the cones don't really fit unless I stagger them, one up, one down, one up, etc. , and even then, it's a little squished. Look at the image. Regardless, I enjoy the racks and would buy them again. For the price, they're light and sturdy, but putting them together is a challenge. oh my! Because I have hand arthritis, I knew it would be difficult, but I didn't think it was impossible after reading other reviews. I tried snapping them together with my bare hands while wearing heavy workman's rubber gloves, but it didn't work out. After that, I experimented with a rubber mallet. After that, I handed them over to my handyman. When hubby's hands couldn't hold them together, he used his plumber's water pump plier. That was the final straw.
If you know what you're doing, it'll be simple. It was simple for my husband to push the pieces together with the edge of a table. This is an excellent thread holder for sergers. You can only hold three in a row at a time. The best is yet to come.
Okay. Yes, putting it together is difficult. It's not difficult, but the pieces must be snapped together, which necessitates the use of strong hands. HOWEVER. There isn't a thread holder out there that is better. I had another rack that held both the spools and the bobbins, but the bobbins kept falling off, and I got tired of searching under my sewing table for them. This rack holds both the spool of thread and the corresponding bobbin on the same dowel, making it a breeze to grab both the spool and the bobbin for any sewing project. My job necessitates frequent thread changes, so this rack has been a lifesaver. I am overjoyed.
I don't usually leave reviews, but I've decided to start because I heavily rely on other people's opinions when deciding whether or not to buy a product. br>Overall, I give this product a four out of five star rating. I gave it five stars for the cost-to-value ratio, three stars for durability, and three stars for assembly. I run my own company and needed a place to hang my threads that wasn't too expensive. I decided to take a chance on this product and I'm glad I did; in fact, since purchasing the first one, I've purchased three more for a total of four. I can no longer fit 60 spools of thread on each one; I can only fit 30 on each, but I use the larger spools. Because it is made of plastic, it must be handled with care, but the most difficult part of the process was putting it together. I wasn't strong enough to snap the pieces together on the first one I bought, and my husband struggled with it as well. But once we figured it out, all we had to do was grab a pair of pliers and gently go back-and-forth with them. back-and-forth on one end until the two ends meet. Now, keep in mind that it's plastic, so be gentle with it, but after that, I'm able to put it together on my own. Overall, this product is one that I would strongly recommend.
I was inspired by the photos others have posted and discovered that I can store two items on it. 3 small spools on one pin, 2 larger spools on one pin, and large cone spools on every other pin until all of the thread has been used. I've now ordered and installed two racks, revealing that I have far too much thread on my hands. As a disadvantage, snapping the rack together requires some force, and as others have mentioned, using the edge of a table or other firm surface aids in this process. However, the extra effort is well worth it.
This thread spool rack is perfect for me. It's fantastic. Once I figured out how to connect everything, it was fairly simple to put together. I was able to put it together with just a few extra minutes of reading and looking over the available materials. I can see how some people might think it's difficult, but it isn't - Take your time and think about it. It can hold a lot of thread and be mounted on the wall if necessary.
