This is a very thin piece of paper. The two are attached by glue. I am not happy at all! It's so sad that this purchase didn't work out. You should definitely read this if you're a beginner. Its a darling little box, and that's what your money will essentially buy. There were already scuffs and dirt on the scissors, and the plastic, removeable tray is literally the cheapest clear plastic you can find. A piece of plastic used to organize various parts of any new device or purchase that contains multiple pieces. Its just a part of packaging that you would expect to use to keep the different pieces together. However, I would throw this away immediately because the only purpose of it was to keep the pieces apart until the product was open and assembled. As soon as possible, I will look for a new pair of scissors and a new tray. I think the pouch and spongy circle that are just for looks under the lid of the box are really just for decoration.
