Yes, that's the only way, and you'll also have to take off the slide-on plate.
Yes, I've cut paint skins with them before. They're excellent at what they're doing. However, the bottom slide-on plate must be removed and used upside down.
That is a difficult question to answer. It's strong enough, but it may fray depending on the thickness of the fabric and material. That is merely an educated guess. I don't have it with me, so I won't be able to test it.
Why does it say it cuts felt in the description but it doesn't?

I was squandering my photographic resources. After that, I watched a YouTube video in which it was suggested that I take out the plastic paper catcher and use the hole punch upside down. Now I always get my circle exactly where I want it, and I adore this hole punch. Remove the plastic tray and use it upside down.
This punch has left me feeling very let down. I bought it to replace a 1" paper punch I'd had for several *years* that was a similar price point from a different company, but this punch was not only warped right out of the package, but I could only punch one (poor quality, messy jagged-edged punch). Before the mechanism broke or something, I drew a circle with a ragged edge. The lever now does not go up at all; it is not simply jammed, as it has been with other punches in the past and which I have always found simple to fix - it is now completely jammed. It isn't stuck, and it can't even punch; all it can do is flop around. I wouldn't be surprised if that first punch caused it to become caught on itself, given how warped and dull the metal was. Having said that, I'm not even sure how to troubleshoot it. How something so basic becomes bricked and useless on the first try tells me everything I need to know about the inspection process; I'm not sure I'd buy from this seller or even company again after receiving garbage like this. I almost never return things (it's too difficult where I live, and I don't have expensive tastes; I'm content if things just work). ) but I'm hoping to get there and, hopefully, get a non-broken item next time; at the very least, my very old, well-used, and dulled one still punches. On principle, I'm returning this, and I'll read the return policy after posting some photos so you can see what you're getting. I'm not sure why they want it back, but I'm going to get a refund, even if the trip to the local post office is a nightmare.
In one sitting, I was able to cut 60 circles out of regular copy paper with no problems. I used another reviewer's suggestion of removing the bottom plastic piece and turning it upside down to view my artwork, and it worked perfectly. After reading a few of the other reviews, I was a little concerned. I'm glad I bought it, though. I'm sure I'll have to buy another one at some point in the future - However, with the price as low as it is, this isn't much of an issue. It didn't stick, I didn't have any problems with hanging chads, and I didn't have to trim it - I'm in a great mood. Thank you very much! I was using an exacto knife before and this saved me a lot of time!.
This was purchased in order to punch out 1" paper tokens for DnD maps. The hole punch works well, but my biggest gripe is that the punch is incredibly shallow in terms of the amount of paper that can be on either side of the circle you're punching out. If there is a difference of more than 1/4"- You'll have to trim it back with scissors to fit it in here, as it takes up 1/2" of space. I end up with a lot of tiny pieces of paper gumming up the punch when I cut my token pages into strips thin enough to fit in this punch. Still, for the price, it does exactly what it says it will, so I can't really complain. Maybe the next time I get this job, I'll just get a bigger punch.
This performs admirably for the purpose for which it was created. Cuts through paper and card stock with ease. br>br>However, it struggles to cut through card stock with a piece of standard weight paper glued to it and a layer of clear packing tape on both sides. I can get it to cut the majority of the circle, but not the entire circle. I bought it with the intention of cutting out 1 inch paper tokens for ttrpgs like D&D. (I have arthritis in my hands. ) And it doesn't work as well for that as I'd like. I didn't take away any stars because it performs admirably for the paper product load it was designed to handle. I'm still happy with it because as a crafter, I have a lot of normal uses for it. Just keep in mind that if you plan to use it for heavier projects like the ones I mentioned, you might be disappointed.
So, this is a three-star rating because it's boring. I've had to sharpen it a couple of times with foil. When I use it, it doesn't always cut a complete circle and tears some of the paper around it. I bought it to use in making bottle caps by cutting out circle photos. Because of the excess paper it cuts, I have to use scissors to trim the edges all the time.
I was cutting "Chipboard," a thick, stiffly treated cardboard, but I figured it would cut because it fit so easily. In any case, I purchased it for the chipboard and harder items. To return El Junko, I'm not even going to bother getting it out of the trash. Instead, unless it's rice paper or extremely thin construction paper, I'll issue a warning to anyone. Put it out of your mind. It's about as durable as towing your boat trailer across the country with tissue paper. In any case, it only lasted a minute for me. But isn't it adorable?.
With the exception of the ludicrously bad English translation on the back, this product performs exactly as it should. Cutting wax paper can be used to lubricate a very sharp end. I like that you can see what you're cutting from the bottom; it simplifies jewelry making. The cover is also great for holding multiple punches at the same time while also keeping kids safe! I would strongly suggest it.
