Questions & Answers

Is it strong enough to cut through. Would you recommend the 5mm eva foam sheets?

Seeing as it is foam, I'm not sure if you would be able to do it if you cut it twice with a deep setting. You can contact customer service to find out. Tell them what you need to know. I even purchased the new Pazzles and I'm considering returning it since I'm so pleased with the scan and cut. It's my first ScanNCut and I love it! I have been cutting for a long time with machines.

Do you have a brother cm350 machine that is compatible with this model?

It appears the DX Auto Blade cannot be used in 350 machines if it is a standard blade. I believe the standard blade is compatible between The milling is intended for use by the DX only.

Do you know if it's compatible with the SDX230D?

The standard cut blade will work with the Brother SDX230D, yes.

Do you think this blade will cut vinyl records?

don't know how thick your record is, if it's a standard 45 or 33 1/3rpm record, then I very seriously doubt if it's worth it. The tag is Papers for scrap booking, Boards, Posters and Cotton-Filled Posters Since I'm only familiar with fabrics, I've only cut them. The tag is Boards have a thick surface, which makes them difficult to handle.

I need an extra mat for my Brother Scan N Cut machine
4/5

Initially, I loved the Brother Scan N Cut machine, but I have a few small issues with the machine. There is one major benefit to cutting pad sheets in that they are not quite so As a result, the corners of the paper I wanted to cut were taped with a low tack tape. A simple solution to a complicated problem. This sheet was purchased so I have an extra one in case I damage the one that came with the machine (I haven't had to use it yet). - The blade depth setting has a bit of a learning curve, and I've read reports of some cutting through the mat by accident. That hasn't happened yet, so fingers crossed I won't do it yet. Whenever you cut through a mat, it is a good idea to tape the back side. Another downside of these mats is the high price point and inability to find them. Those watches are kind of expensive and I couldn't afford one before Christmas. I'm sorry, Brother.

It is the best blade to replace
5/5

Would I be lying if I said I loved my Brother fax and scan? I love you a lot! I love it all the more because of these replacement blades. The parts can be easily replaced, they hold up for a very long time, and they are extremely durable. It just wouldn't be worth it to try an off-brand when there is such a wonderful option here. Having used my first blade for hundreds of cuts, I am confident that this one will endure in the same way.

This was specifically purchased to be used as a fabric cutter
5/5

For craft foam, it comes with a deep-cutting blade. This was specifically purchased to be used as a fabric cutter. For cutting paper, I have another one. I will use this for the appliques that I will be making in the near future. The deep cut blade is an update I just wanted to share here. To keep it simple, I'm still using the Brother scan n cut cm550dx that came with my machine. It came with a lot of accessories with it when I purchased The craft foam I've been cutting has an average thickness of about 1/8 inch and is 6 inches long and 9 inches wide. The blade I am using for deep cutting is To do this, I wanted to make stamps from some of the patterns that were found within my Brother cut n scan program. Tutorials on how to do it have been found on the internet. Following the instructions for the blade depth and the pressure depth, I placed the blade at the exact depth indicated. I had to adjust the pressure and blade for myself because it was too much for me. Furthermore, I found that my standard blade cut the foam quite well if I set the depth to a depth of around 10 or 11, and the cut pressure to a value of My deep cut blade cuts right through my standard mat, however, when I tried it with my standard blade. My attempt to repair the back of the suit with duct tape did not go as well as I expected. My mat slipped out of the way when I started to make a new cut and the cuts came out bad, so I had to readjust everything and duck tape a side that was not cut. In this case I really needed to use my deep cut blade since the material is craft foam. With my blade settings set at 8, 7 for the cut pressure and almost 8 3/4 for the blade, I have set the cut to very slow. In order to achieve the desired result, I had to make a lot of test cuts. To place the stamps on, I made about 12 stamp designs and 8 backings. I found that these settings cut everything well for me. The deep cut blade I ordered for my new mats was not included in my order. In order to replace the mat I cut up, I had to order a standard mat. There are some very good deals here on the deep cut and standard blades when compared to what I have seen There are many reviews from 2014, so I'm not surprised. Now that this review is old, most of the reviews for the deep cut blade here are dated. Feel free to leave a comment if you view this review and want to. For those of you who want to cut foam but do not know how to perform the process. It's best to do a test cut first so you don't score the mat, or screw it up, like I did to mine. You'll always have to set the depth cut, as well as the pressure. You can adjust the blades to your liking. Most people tend to forget to change the cut pressure when determining the effort needed to achieve results. The first thing you need to do is check your instruction manual to see what thickness can be cut.
I'd like to share with you that I really like my machine I set it up correctly and it cuts well, so all is well.

Fabric can be cut effectively with this machine
5/5

In my opinion, the Name brand product from Brother is the best. My main use for these is to cut out fabric appliques for my clothes. They work well. Using a heat and bond machine I work on the backside of the fabric ( do not remove the paper ), then lay it right side up on a cutting The paper is removed from the fabric before it is pressed to the background.

I was looking for just what you had
5/5

The Brother ScanNCut blade I bought is the deep-cut version and exactly what I was looking for. This blade has been a great purchase for me. There would be a time when the blade and holder would be in one package, but I can probably live with that since the holder only has to be purchased Make your favorite charity eligible for Amazon to donate to! It is of very high quality
5/5

It was bought so that he would have a spare on hand since the first blades that came with his naquina are still in excellent shape. He has not replaced the first one, instead he uses it for a rational purpose.

It does great work, but it tends to dull very As your user, I truly appreciate what the ScanNCut machine allows me to do
3/5

However, I wish the blade was made of a much stronger, more durable metal so that it is not worn out The blade does not wear down as fast if I make large cuts as it does if I make tiny cuts. I suspect that cutting a small circle puts more stress on the blade than large ones and thus the blade wears out Obviously, that is the price of creativity. However, cutting these patterns by hand would be much more tedious!.
