I'm not going to buy this book because I can't see what's inside. Simply by omitting a preview from the listing, you (the author) are losing a lot of sales. Almost every artistic book contains a few pages, a table of contents, and a brief excerpt. Don't expect to make a lot of money. merely stating the obvious
Although the focus is on Dylusions, the techniques can be applied to a variety of projects.

I'd had this book for a while and had finally begun to read it. First and foremost, be aware that it is biased in favor of her products, as well as Ranger products in general. That said, of all the Art Journal books I've seen, this one is the easiest for me to grasp; the supplies list "Kitchen Roll" as a roll of paper towels. Then you'll see a photo of how it's used; she shows you in a picture what all the other books only tell you in words. We all think in different ways, but this is how I think. br>br>I've (hopefully) attached a photo of the table of contents, as well as a list of "recommended products" (all Ranger, and mostly her line - Congratulations on her accomplishments! ), as well as a step-by-step procedure. I've never seen this step in any other 'how-to' guide. to' book.
I just got the book and journal, and I'm very pleased with the outcome. Dyan's looks can be easily recreated step by step with pictures.
This book is fantastic for newbie mix media artists like myself because it contains excellent instruction. Dyan Reveley explains how to replicate her funky designs in her own unique English humor. You can also find her instructions on YouTube, but I prefer it because I have poor comprehension and require visual instruction. She explains how to make it with step-by-step instructions and numerous beautiful examples. I like the 'notes to self' blank sheets at the back of the book where I can scribble down ideas as they arise or while watching her videos. The price alone is justified by the sample doodling pages.
It's a decent read. It's colorful and includes some helpful hints. More information is available on YouTube. The quality and quantity of information for the price did not impress me. The pages are written in her style, which is a plus. It's a short book that's suitable for newcomers. I also wanted to point out that some of the items she recommends, such as her color-your-own stamp pad, are no longer available. She is now the owner of her own product line. For those with an interest, an updated book would be beneficial.
Dyan has become a favorite of mine. This is a Ranger product advertisement book. As a result, There are a variety of techniques that can be used with other materials (although you won't get the same effect as with sprays). I really liked the stained glass image and intend to use it with other shapes and images in the future. The white on black doodling was also a favorite of mine. You're inspired to create by the good techniques and the lovely layout!.
This book is one of my favorites. Instructions are very clear, and there is a lot of inspiration to be found. I've begun to put what she's taught me into practice. If you're new to inks and journaling, this is a great place to start.
If you're a Dyan Reavley fan, you'll want to add this book to your library. Now, as much as I admire her, this book isn't particularly good. It's poorly written, and while the images are nice and help a beginner follow along with various techniques, I've already mastered all of the techniques covered in the book. absolutely no cost - Watching her YouTube videos is one of the best ways to learn more about her. As a result, this book is a letdown and will be returned.
The art journaling book by Dyan Reaveley is the best of several in my creative library. Her instructions are simple to understand and follow, and she turns what appears to be a difficult task into a piece of cake that is also beautiful. The photographs are stunning and well-executed. I've given it to several friends and family members who share my enthusiasm for Dyan's must-haves as well as the entire Dylusions, Dyary, and Dyalog product line. This is a book I would highly recommend, and I hope to see more from her in the future.
