Questions & Answers

Will it melt solder if it gets hot enough?

Is there any reason why a soldering iron wouldn't be used? While I'm not exactly sure what you're doing, I suspect that high heat guns with a temperature high over 1,000 degrees would be a better choice. Although it is a heat, I think that it is most suitable for embossing, shrink wrapping, and similar crafty projects The tool is perfect for that purpose.

Is it possible to use this to make a hole (circle) in one of those clear DIY There are hard plastic parts to it. ?

There's probably no way you can try that with it! In essence, it is a way of drying your art work.

If you give cold temperatures in Celsius, it doesn't make any sense. Can you confirm that Fahrenheit is the option for temperatures?

In case you want to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit or vice versa, here's a simple equation It's just 8+32 = F° and if you convert to Celsius then it's just (F°-32). Eight equals Celsius

Can anyone tell me how big a heat gun is? Please don't give me the size of the package, okay?

The measurements are approximated with a tape measure, so +/- The length is 1/8" and the diameter is 9".

The bubble wand makes it easy to pop This is what I use to pop bubbles in my epoxy, and it I like how light it is and how easily I can maneuver it over my plastic molds

For the price, it's a good buy
4/5

The heat gun I had at a crop got lost, so I bought this to replace it. It is used in my art room for drying dyed pieces, as well as embossing handmade pieces. It has two different heat settings, a stand for setting it down on, and you can keep the work surface safe by sitting it down when not in use.

Definitely a scam
3/5

According to the description, the item is not what it is. In the advertisement it is stated that it can reach 650 degrees in two speeds, but as you can see it goes only to 350 degrees in the photograph. There should be an end to these shady sellers on Amazon.

I was unable to pop bubbles in resin with this
3/5

The product took me months and months to buy, because I needed a bottle to pop bubbles with my resin. I am not able to use it. Despite getting hot enough to pop the bubbles, they don't actually pop In fact, the resin is actually blown out of my molds with it. It would be nice if there were an options for the heat level and the amount of air that Apparently I will have to make use of it for drying.

For artists and crafters, this is a great heat tool
5/5

There was no way for me to even It was finally this one that I decided on. I wouldn't be happy choosing the prettiest, but if I'd chosen the most attractive I would be mad at myself. In fact, the color is much lighter than this. The color is golden yellow, which is nice. I love it and am very satisfied. There were a couple of reasons that led me to pick this one. The industrial one was suggested to me but I didn't want to take that step quite yet. My studio is small and I work inside, so the high temperature would have been excellent, but I work indoors in a small studio with an abundance of art. In the end, I decided not to need it. The differences between this one and most others are in the number of settings provided. The air is a bit hotter in this area as well. There's a decent length cord on this thing, so I chose it based on the reviews and what it's supposed to do Some techniques used in clay work include embossing, drying paint between layers, and some work with paint. It has all the functions you need and it is very well made. If you are an artist or a crafter, you will be pleased with this tool. MUCH better than the quality brand-name tool that looks like a cheap hair dryer and costs almost twice as much. It is a very happy day for me.

Gun with a hot surface
3/5

While it is convenient, I find I have to let it cool down a little before I can use it again. I use it to heat embossing powder on cards so I don't even have it on for a minute, so I am disappointed and would not recommend this product.

Good, but not what I expected
5/5

I came here to get this little unit (which costs about $10) which does exactly what I need, which is to shrink heat. We can shrink tubing with ease. helpful (though I haven't used the lower setting very much. 1) I like how the metal nozzle on the business end is protected by a plastic housing, which substantially reduces the chance that I will accidentally touch it and burn myself. I am pleased with how far it has gone, but I don't know how long it will continue.

In my case, the primarily purpose of the product was to heat labels to loosen the adhesive more easily without destroying the surface on which the labels or stickers were attached. I have also used it to emboss and heat shrink plastic and tubing in addition to loosening adhesives.
