My prints had to be 8 x 10 and I used a paper cutter to accomplish this task. I had to cut the sheet on both sides since it didn't cut through. It is unlikely that scissors would be a good choice.
Yeah, I used mine for that as well. Rather than adhere paper on one side, I adhered paper on the other side. The chipboard isn't flimsy, but also not super thick. Despite my regular use of mini books, they haven't fallen apart.

When I ship cards out from my Etsy store, I use these cardboard packaging sheets to protect them from damage in the mail. In my opinion, the cardboard is extremely thin and flimsy, and is barely a better protection for the cards I purchased it for! I would need at least three or four layers of cardboard to feel like the package has been fully secure. Mailing these would be difficult (and chipboard would be impossible too! Obviously this is misleading advertising), but if you wanted the look of cardboard by using stiff paper, I could possibly see them being suitable for scrapbooking projects.
Then I sandwich my artwork between chipboard before slipping everything into one of these mailers. I slide the papers into resealable polypropylene bags, then slide them into the bags. Even though it may be a little pricey, especially with smaller prints, I feel that knowing that my work will arrive safely to my customers, and that I won't have to worry about a damaged product, is certainly worth it.
