A large Twister quilt top I just finished is now needing to be quilted. Now, I'm at a loss as to how to do so. Are there any suggestions you can make to ?

Without seeing the quilt, it is difficult to answer. This may sound dumb, but I took a class entitled "What are your quilts saying to you?". Take a look at the patterns in the fabric, how does the quilt flow, or stitch in the ditch if you want to take the easy way out. Consider hanging it up and looking at it for a day or two and observing if the pattern is straight or has waves. My apologies for the lack of specificity.

How should we raise the template and what is the best size of the rotary cutter to use with it?

The same can be said about The standard size 45mm is fine (you don't need the smaller 28mm, since nothing is cut that tightly). However, if you are more comfortable with the 60mm, that can be a good choice

The twister tool what is it used for?

In the case that you have already purchased this, the instructions should already be included. How to make, say, a twister table runner. First, you cut out your squares, then you put them Once you have your squares, cut them out with the twister. If you're not familiar with it, it's fairly easy to learn. There was a pattern and instructions with my twister.

The Twister quilt maker makes it so simple to make one
5/5

Without this template, I had to mark the whole top with a marker and cut on the marked lines while making my first Twister quilt. I hate it. After that, I made my second one with this. How different things are now! I love how easy it is to use this. Only one complaint I have, and I'm sure no one else has this issue the clear rubber non-slip material sticks to bare skin My slip feet were too thick and I had to be careful to keep my rotary cutter perfectly straight in order to not It was too thick for me, so I substituted some thinner non-stick sheets I have been using slip tape for a while now and it's working perfect. As a whole, this template is great, and I just bought a second one a few days ago to give to a friend who kept borrowing mine. The plexiglass is thick and really nice to look at. The one I lost would be replaced with another one if I ever lost it.

Despite the cons, the pros outweigh them
4/5

A great tool, I love it. This is the kit I used to make my first twister quilt, which got a blue ribbon at our recent quilt show. Despite being sturdy and looking like it will last forever, the feet on the underside grip the fabric better than any 'grippy' product I've used on a ruler in the past. The only negative aspect of this is that, due to the grippy feet, the ruler sits higher than normal rulers and it is quite hard (or perhaps even impossible) to cut things with a rotary cutter of 28 mm. It is due to the center screw part of the cutter not clearing One of my 45 mm cutters cleared the top of the ruler to cut, and the other did not! I was fortunate that I had a pre-planned itinerary The only cutter I had packed was a 28 mm, so I tested it on a piece of scrap fabric before going to a workshop. My mistake had been to bring a 45 mm cutter instead it turned out I had to switch it out. It would be nice if they made them with much flatter feet, instead of the same grippy feet. Additionally, you must make sure the blade of the ruler remains vertical due to the height of the ruler (due to the feet). Cutting under a ruler can easily lead to the blade turning inward. That was pretty easy to adjust to, however, and it all worked out fine. This ruler is all in all a very good choice. Using this tool is easy, and the results are consistently good. Be prepared to not be able to use this ruler on a smaller rotary cutter because of its small size!.

Use this tool when you want to have fun! We put this little tool to work on the wreath quilts that my granddaughter and I have been working on
5/5

Having instructions included and a superb design, this is an easy product to use. They were very impressive wreaths, and it would be impossible to guess that they were just square piecing from just a look at them. To get the most out of your rows, keep them organized unless, of course, you like puzzles.

I had a great time! Using this tool was so much fun, I really enjoyed making a quilt! In the process of making my quilt, I learned some things *First, it is very important to use the same seam allowance across the entire quilt
5/5

I didn't realize it, but the 1/4 inch seam was incorrect and it was impossible to square up the quilt once The second issue is that it is very, very difficult to accurately and safely cut all four edges of an object with a rotary cutter. I will have another go at it. I'm going to trace around the tool with scissors and then cut it out. Initially, these things did not occur to me because I am a new quilter. I am guessing if I had more experience, these things would not be an issue. However, I think the key to getting this to work beautifully is to be consistent, regardless of the method you utilize. Having the opportunity to test this tool was a lot of fun, and I can't wait to do so.

This template is fun
5/5

I was at first unsure that this was a good investment. My mind kept wandering and I had a gnome table runner in my head. In trying it out, I found that it was very straightforward to use, and the blocks came out just as I had hoped. I could see using it occasionally to accent a quilt or as.

The project was so much fun, I made one for my sister as well
5/5

I was delivered on time. My habits have changed and I no longer buy templates. My first purchase of these was when I started quilting, because the author/teacher told me you had to buy it. In that case, I used it only once. With my Amazon points, I purchased this item. To make a new wall hanging for my home, I used this paper. The project was so much fun, I made one for my sister as well. The most likely outcome is that she will create You can do it quickly and easily. There must be a design wall to make sure blocks are not mixed up.
