A few times I have used them for cutting light fabric. far, the performance/quality is very good for the price. The drafts will be edited in the future if they do not prove worthy )*BUT (BTW, any edging type rotary blades will require firm, consistent, strong pressure, or the rotary blade will not give a good cut no matter how sharp. In addition, it is a good idea to "test cut" a particular fabric to find out how many layers you can cut. It's much better for me personally to have less. I'll accept
& I have a cutter with an ergonomic design but the broadest blade around does not fit at all. All other blades fit just fine. This works well on my old school basic cutter (like a pizza cutter). A blade with less casing and a guard. Using the blades on this cutter, I find I really prefer using all of the edging blades.
This box was well made, came with its own storage, and is sized to fit my Fisker's rotary cutter, came quickly, and has a large variety of cutters.
Since it stated that they would fit Fiskars, I bought them. The answer is no. The scissors I received were exactly what I wanted since I was hoping to make scalp cuts and other round cuts with them. They are slightly larger than the 45mm and fit perfectly on them. I would not recommend them at all as they do not turn, and they begin to cut into the plastic sides.
When I used these blades, my material didn't cut through them at all, so if I can't use them then I don't see the point of them.
Thus, I found this to be an ideal option. Fiskars's 12" rotary cutting board has a 12" blade, and as I do a lot of paper crafts, I am constantly replacing the blade. As well as the decorative blades, I use them frequently. It was offered as a "you might find this interesting," item, and it turned out to be. In the box you will find 12 blades and two hard plastic cases that contain six blades each. Storage is easier and safer when you do it that way. It is worthwhile to invest in this if you constantly use 45 mm rotary blades.
The prices are substantially lower than those for name brands and there is a wide variety of blade types to choose from. It cuts well out of the box, and so far I haven't had any issues. Originally I bought it for the specialty blades, including the four wavy blades that would have cost me an arm and a leg if I'd bought them separately.
It may be necessary to run the blade over the fabric a 2nd time when cutting 1 layer of fabric with the blades that have a design edge. It works better for paper cutting.
Because my wife makes her own greeting cards, she has to trim photos and so on.
