Arthritic hands can't use the clamps because they're too small. It would be preferable if the description included a picture of them holding a hand.
I recently purchased a Swity 100-pack of mini clips. Despite the fact that I had to wait a long time for it to arrive, I was pleased with the quality and price. br>I recently decided to purchase another Swity bag because I enjoyed the first one. I was taken aback by how poor the quality was. The majority of the clips are inoperable, and some are extremely tight. Each clip is surrounded by sharp plastic pieces, and the bag contains broken pieces. I was dissatisfied because I enjoyed my first bag of Swity clips so much that I intended to purchase only Swifty. br>At the moment, I'm not sure.
br>MANUFACTURING: (a) the few that didn't hold fabric were too loose, and I can see gaps where the clips are supposed to meet; (b) Nearly all of the clips have small burrs on the non-adhesive surfaces. clipping end - this is where the plastic must be poured into the molds - These tiny jagged points cling to delicate fabrics and can irritate the skin - Not as much of an issue with quilting cotton, but keep in mind what you wear, such as light knits, or if you plan to use these clips on more delicate fabrics to avoid pin holes. I used an emory board to file the points off of each clip (yes, I had some spare time) and they're now smooth, but I don't recall my original red brand name clips requiring any work prior to my use of them. This set was a cheap fix while they were packed away for the time being. br>THE BIG PICTURE: 2% failure rate (4 clips unusable) but great functionality and perfect size in the remaining 206 for holding down quilt binding The pack of 200 clips is a great deal (especially considering they're nearly identical to the red name brand clips - Observe the image below - There are a couple of people who didn't make it into the pack-.
Once or twice a year, I sew random projects. br>Well, I saw these clips on a video and ordered them right away. br>Because they are from China, they took a long time to arrive. br>I used them to sew a toddler bed sheet the day they arrived, and wow! I couldn't believe my eyes. "Why the snot do we even have needles and not everyone uses mini clips?" for example. " Needles are sharp and pokey, and they move around, making sewing a chore in my opinion. br>It was also common to sew with thick duck cloth, which held up well. So it doesn't matter if the fabric is thick or thin, these will still look great. br>So far, none of the clips I've used have caused me any problems. br>These items are extremely useful, and there are a plethora of them available. br>I chose the red color and am very pleased with how they stand out. Unlike needles, which require searching for and dealing with embarrassing situations such as giving your sister a handmade baby blanket only to be told she was glad she checked it before washing and wrapping her newborn in it because she discovered a needle. Regardless, these are game-changers for me. There are so many that I use them to neatly organize my scraps and project pieces. br>It was great not having to worry about my preschooler getting near sharp needles in fabric when I was sewing another project, and I didn't have to worry about leaving an unfinished project on the table and walking away knowing it was only clips and no sharp needles. He even went out of his way to assist Mommy by bringing me clipped-up fabrics. br>I'm sure I'll need needles from time to time, but these will be my first choice. br>Extremely pleased client.
Some of the clips don't appear to be properly assembled, as they don't close tightly enough to hold thin fabric layers. Some of them will not even open. It's not a returnable issue, given the quantity of clips you receive; it's just annoying when you come across these clips.
Why is that so? This is fantastic! It's so simple to use, and I don't have to worry about getting tetanus from pinning myself. br>These are extremely durable and have a good grip on the fabric without causing any damage. I intend to purchase additional colors once I have a larger project to work on.
They're my favorite. They're ideal for a wide range of fabrics I work with. Bullet, DBP, polyester/cotton blend Everything I've used them for has turned out to be a success. They arrived in a matter of days after I placed my order. I'm pretty sure Amazon handled the delivery. They're strong and don't break easily.
I purchased these for sewing because I had run out of my Clover box of 40. These aren't the same thing at all. Not in the least. br>br>These are significantly lighter and less expensive to manufacture. They don't open quite as far as the others, but they seem to grip well. br>br>They'll be used for $10, but I'm not sure how good they'll be.
