Is it correct that the stamped lettering appears backwards on the yellow side of the templates because they have a 'brown paper' like back?

Simply remove the brown paper from the template and flip it over so that the words are upright. It functions admirably. Simply follow the instructions or watch the video created by Donna Jordan of Jordan Fabrics on YouTube. This is a fantastic design.

Does it specify the amount of fabric needed for a king-size quilt?

This is not the case. Only a template set is included in the package. However, the finished size of each section is 8" - To make the entire block, you'll need four blocks, totaling 16". This template is used in a Jordan Fabrics tutorial on YouTube. It's very informative, and by watching it, you might be able to figure out how to calculate the yardage.

What is the approximate size of each completed block? Is the ring not complete?

Mine are exactly 16"x16" in size.

What size are you looking for?

A ring is made up of four blocks, each of which is 8 1/2" in diameter. Jordon Fabrics has a YouTube tutorial that demonstrates how to use this template very well. Good luck with your quilting!

Broken

This item appears to be simple to use. However, it arrived three times with a broken end on the C template (which will remain unstable if glued due to the location of the break). I'm not sure if this is due to d/t packaging or a weakness in the acrylic. Amazon was great and refunded the cost; I'd like to try again, but I'll look for the product in a store so that I can inspect it first.

Fabric marking slits that are good

I put this templet to the test. It worked well for cutting out the fabric, but not so well for piecing it together. I'll have to give it another shot when I have more time.
