Putting a phone case on it shouldn't be a good idea. I believe it to be a Morgan No-70 The slip hoop measures 7". I notified Amazon of the problem. My sincere thanks go out to I AM A GOOD
My hoop has been used to punch needles and at times, I have placed the hoop over work that is already The threads flattened temporarily, but it wasn't permanent. That probably isn't a good idea, but I don't see an issue if you leave the piece in the hooper while you work on it. To work on large pieces, I have also purchased the same hoop in the 9 and 10" sizes. I punch needles a lot (I do a lot of needle punching)
When I did business in my shop, I used to carry these right in the store. Minnesota is the source of their manufacturing
It is true. Most fabric types can be used with this product because the tightness can be independently adjusted. There is no doubt that this hoop is the best Whether it is for personal or professional reasons

My experience has not been with hoops that have taped on, as I have only used bare hoops. There is one problem they all have, namely, that it is very difficult to keep things tight, and requires constant fidgeting to keep them The reason I liked Q Snaps so much, and never tried another hoop before, is because this one looks so great. The first time I tried, I had trouble getting my fabric to tension, but I realized that I could do it by going around the hoop in tight circles while pulling the fabric taut as I went. As soon as I stitched for hours without having to adjust the fabric, I was able to stitch all day without any problems. Having left the fabric in the hoop overnight, I was still able to get the fabric to be tight the next morning. The other thing I like is the ability to sew right up to the edge of the hoop, which is not as easy to achieve Considering the size of the fabric (it was 15 inches by 18 inches), I used hair clips to corral the excess, and I used a floor stand to hold the hoop. It may be worthwhile for me to order more in larger sizes for my larger
As with all hoops, you'll want to remove the fabric every night in order to prevent permanent creases or stretching, and make sure to adhere felt strips between the rings or use some other method to protect the stitched areas. Even after leaving the fabric in the hoops overnight, there were no crushed stitches when stitched with two strands on 16 count aida with felt strips covering stitched areas.
This hoop fits me perfectly, and my fabric does not slip on it, which keeps me from ordering another wooden hoop. I'm new to embroidery, and needed a hoop that didn't slip. There is no other way to describe this. Although I was concerned that the plastic ridge might be sharp or fray my needlework, it does not do that AT ALL and somehow holds my fabric perfectly taut. As for the eyebolt, I love it My old hoops required me to adjust them with screws, but this one is so much easier. It was a Morgan Products hoops in a different size that I ordered.
I've tried many different kinds of hoops and these are by far the best ones. A punch needling device that is perfect for you. They now range from 5" up to 17", and I use all of them. You should be able to get your money's worth by investing in a Morgan Hoop unless you really need a large wood frame. This is a move you will not regret.
There is some serious grip on these hoops. They hold the fabric in place due to their indentation. I promise you this, if you tighten it enough, it's not going to move or loosen anytime The fabric could nearly be made into a drum if you get it tucked in so tightly. The hoops are excellent and I highly recommend them.
The fabric is even held securely while stiff 11 count material is folded. In multiple sizes, I will be purchasing this item.
The hoop is extremely sturdy and doesn't slip at all, it stays in place as I work without readjusting, I used it for my smaller cross stitch as soon as it came out of the package.
Hoops made from this material are more secure than those made from bamboo, metal, or plastic. The hoop holds the fabric in place and clamps it down. Currently I am able to handle a hoop of 7" (with my middle finger able to reach the middle). As for its size, it's also pretty decent for traveling.
This is my first experience with this brand and I am totally sold! You can expect to see me buy more in many sizes in the near future. My work is very easy to hoove, and the material is very taught and stays inside the basket with no issues. Delivery was quick, though.
