In my opinion, they are not designed to take care of alignment, as once you attach the quilt and then mount your frame you won't be thinking about it. You will not be able to find it after using it a couple of times. It's a pleasure
The leader set is the one you are referring to. It is possible to use them. I have my first quilt on the frame and it is doing fine. You may have to trim off some of the width when you are making a bigger quilt, and the ends may have to be overlooked or zig zagged to keep them Despite being a novice myself, I find this to be an amazingly useful system. Since I am old, I cannot adjust the height for example. Generally it is a large item that takes up a lot of room, but can be adjusted to fit a smaller room. It is not easy for me to keep the floor space clean. It works perfectly for the time being, however. Having the ability to adjust the tautness myself is a huge plus. I find it to be a wonderful tool. There is no doubt that it is well constructed. In addition to my desk chair, I have a small rolling organizer that has drawer compartments in which I store my tools and projects along with a large lighted led magnifier - all rolling and Furthermore, I have two giant rolling OTT lights on my back side, and my eyes are failing. Good luck!
It comes in a couple of different sizes, I believe. It was too big of a size for me so I had to cut it down and re-embrouch it My queen size frame requires the hem to be a little longer. A space of 4" has to be left on each side of the roller so that it can roll smoothly.
I did not receive a leader cloth with it. Separately, I also purchased a leader cloth, and it came with

Since the fabric is sturdy and the Velcro is already attached, i didn't have to prepare much, but I found that they were 111 inches long (not 112 as stated) and cut randomly so that the lines of the printed lines do not match up from leader to leader. You should consider them if that is not an issue for you. They are a great product and will last a long time.
Although I had to do a little reworking on these, they were a good purchase. It took a little bit of work to tweak them to fit my frame, but that was not impossible. There was Velcro attached to the rail at the location where the leader of the team must be mounted. I put Velcro on rails that didn't need it since it interfered with the frame. My solution was to remove it, serge the edges, and embroider a center line with my sewing machine. I believe they will serve me.
I just finished putting together my Z44. Here is an explanation of how leaders are attached to frames. With the leaders, Velcro is included, but there is no instruction about where or how I don't have tubing like that, so I had to put a tape in the groove. It's not obvious to me where to obtain Additionally, when I switch from a queen to a double or twin size which I'm planning to do, will I have to cut the leaders off so they will fit and buy new ones or make them for each size. I am not well versed in quilting. Due to the fact that I just finished my first quilt, I don't know how to use my new frame yet. Please call me if you need help. It would be appreciated if you could.
Using this to quilt on my frame is great. Using this method, I am able to line up everything straight and keep my material from bunching up! The measurement lines on this chart are easy to read. I love it so much!.
When I went online to view the video, even the instructions were very vague. I may have missed one or two steps. There was no indication in the instructions when it came to adjusting the size of the quilt for smaller sized quilts, and no instructions on how to apply the cloth to the frame when it was extended to the "queen" size adjustment. I think the instructions on this product must be improved!.
A hand quilting frame called the Grace needs these to function. Since I had to reduce them to fit my queen-size bed, I didn't really like having to cut them down. Their packages should come in the correct size out of the box. They are, however, of great quality other than that.
It is a hassle to undo everything and redo it every time I want to advance my quilt. I would suggest this.
Installing the system is quite simple. In order to install it, I used the red snapper. I was able to make my life easier by using both of these.
