They do, in fact, indicate grip and strength. The green represents iron-on/HTV, vinyl, heavy cardstock, glitter vinyl or htv, and so on.br>The blue represents light card stock, printer paper, wrapping paper, washi paper, and so on.br>The purple represents material, glitter cardstock, poster board, faux leather, and so on.
13" I've used it in my Cricut Maker and it works just like a Cricut mat.
These should work fine if your machine uses standard 12 x 12 mats.
I bought the Light Grip pack for my Cameo, and when it arrived, I simply cut it down to fit my Cameo with a hand held fabric rotary cutter. I removed the protector sheet from my Cameo mat so that it would stick to the new mat, matched up the grids, and then cut off any excess Xinart mat that was visible around the edges. It should work fine if you press hard and go back and forth slowly. I did use a heavy plastic ruler to keep my rotary cutter from cutting into and nicking my Cameo mat, as well as to keep my cuts straight. Best of luck!

All I have to say is that it was money well spent. Negative reviews have been attributed to either using the incorrect mat for the project or failing to take the necessary precautions prior to use. Also, the claims that the mats don't last very long are dubious. I always use the protective plastic sheet after each use and have never had an issue with the adhesive; additionally, you can wipe it down with mild soap and water and let it air dry and it will be as good as new. Alternatively, if it's too sticky, you can always remove some of the stickiness with your shirt, cloth, or whatever works best for you. There are a few tricks and tips that you can use in general. Instead of trying harder, try to play smarter.

These mats are excellent! When you first use them, they are extremely sticky. I've had mine for a week and they're only now loosening up a little. When they tried to peel off the mat, they ripped a few pieces of the vinyl backing. Flipping the mat over and peeling it from the sheet was easier for me. I also took a nice thick cloth and stuck it on and off a few times to make sure it would hold my paper down but not so much that it would be impossible to remove. br>Overall, the price and quality are good.
To begin, I'd like to point out that these mats were the same price as Cricut brand mats purchased from the Cricut website during their current sale. Because Cricut's shipping is three weeks late, I decided to purchase these. The positive feedback made me believe I'd discovered a new favorite. The standard-grip mat lasted approximately four cardstock cuts. Because my cardstock moves when I take my hand off the project, I can't get another cut out of this mat. The grip mat was so strong that by the time I was able to wrestle it off my project, it was completely ruined, with creases and cracks throughout, and the project was rendered useless due to the sticky residue left on it by the mat. I'm down to my last few options: grip mat. We'll see how long it lasts now that I'm on cut number two. I'm not out a lot of money because the mats are cheap, but I can't say I wasn't disappointed by the poor quality.
The mats themselves are fantastic. It's a real mess. They weren't properly packaged, and one of them had a deep crease.
The adhesive on the standard Mat came off and was all over the carrier sheet the first time I used it. It wasn't a big deal because the project involved adhesive vinyl. As you can see in the photo, I simply removed the protective sheet and discovered that the majority of the Mat adhesive had migrated from the Mat to the clear sheet. The Mat adhesive came off all over the htv carrier sheet while I was using it for an HTV project. To keep the adhesive from melting onto my press, I had to wipe it all off. It is not something I would suggest. Very costly for almost all of the adhesive to be gone after only two uses. Because the return window has closed, I'll have to buy another one and pay a higher price.
Unfortunately, this was a bad decision. I bought it to use with my Cricut machine and ran into a slew of issues. br>First, I used the standard grip, which bent a little on the side as it went in. br>br>Then I tried using the strong grip on heavy-duty cardstock, which completely destroyed the paper. It just cut into multiple layers as I was removing it, and half of it was still glued on. br>br>Because these aren't exactly the same size as the cricut ones, the machine gets thrown off and moves a few centimeters to the side. br>br>Unfortunately, I will not be using these in the future, and I have simply thrown my money away.
I've been doing a lot of vinyl printing lately, and the board that comes with it is far too sticky. Because there are three different kinds of tackiness, these are ideal. You don't want too much tackiness if you're working with cardstock. But it's the clear protector that goes over top that's my favorite part. To protect the tackiness of the name brand board I have, you must precisely align the clear cellophane. This one, on the other hand, covers the entire board, including areas where there is no tack. It's a lot easier to apply the clear cellophane this way. I'm glad I got these, and I honestly believe they'll last a lot longer than the name-brand one I got with my vinyl cutter.
