After thinking it was time to buy a new one, I ordered it from Amazon, and it was a real It seems pretty clear this is a knockoff, but perhaps Alvin just doesn't make 'em as much any more. Below is a photo of an old one vs. a brand new one. The measurements are shown in this new one as well. Left out of the new one is the old one. On the new one, you can clearly see that the lines and numbers are blurry I wouldn't blame the camera for the poor quality of the print. Even though the old one is no longer in print, the print lines are still crisp There is no doubt that the quality of the work is higher. In addition to the Alvin logo, I also took pictures. There are a lot of cut lines on the old one, but it isn't too badly In the brand new one you can't see the cut lines (since I haven't used it yet), but you can see how poor It shows up just as clearly as the multitude of cuts on my old Alvin mat, so I am not yet sure if the new mat will perform poorly. I have only cut one test image on the new mat (not shown in photos), so the performance may be okay. However, I don't hold out much hope. As well, this one smells nasty as well. Consider an off-road plastic vehicle that is really strong and durable The smell is gassy. let it air out in a room for over 24 hours, and it still smells bad when you enter it. It is quite possible that I will throw the new one away and purchase a Fiskars to replace it.

There is a strong smell of formaldehyde and death coming from this. Upon using the product for 10 minutes, both my eyes and nose were red and Because the smell is so bad even in the garage, I'm forced to keep this thing outside. In spite of knowing that the smell will fade eventually, I am not really inclined to use it because the disclaimer on it states it causes cancer, birth defects, and reproductive issues. One of the worst things about it is that returning it costs as much as buying it. This mat will never be used again by me. Rather than a window pane, I bought one made of glass.

The app has been on my computer for about a month now. When you work on electronics, this website has been of great help to you. The plastic mat was accidentally cut with a new Xacto blade, but I couldn't tell by looking at it. It has also been helpful in more than one instance to use the measurements and angle guides. In the past, I have utilized this side to photograph prototypes for size comparisons because it is black on the reverse side. As a plus, the mat's surface is designed to keep it from moving around on a work surface, which is quite handy when you're trying to solder components with a circuit board holder or just play around with the mat. There are no traces of molten solder absorbed by this material, which makes cleaning up later a lot.

Having used this, I would recommend it to friends with a 10/10 rating. It was purchased It is November. **** Arrival time as expected or as actual It was November. I have been using the 2015 (Prime) cutting mat with no problems whatsoever. It has performed beyond my expectations so far and has not been damaged by the blade of the exact It looks as though I was able to cut out 17 images from that image and I did not notice any slits or cuts. This mat appears to have no downsides that I can see or say, and I recommend it highly. It is something I would recommend to friends and family 10/10. This is something I purchased for my daughter in order to use with While it was well-suited for a polymer clay workspace at first, it wasn't ideal after that. On the mat, you will see that the clay sticks to the surface as well as picking up the grid lines. In fact, she still uses it today because it is perfect for her cutting tools, and we cover it with wax paper, and it does the same job. Although the product itself is of good quality, it is still priced fairly. Considering its dual-sided feature, I am amazed at how durable it is. What I like about it is that it's much larger than I expected. You might find one that I'd like for my arts and crafts projects. This is a great product for cutting. Ours has been around for a few weeks, and we just wash it with a wet cloth to clean it.

This is a sturdy wood, but do not abuse it as it can crack, chip, Don't presses too hard and make sure your blade is sharp. Make sure you're cutting on a firm surface like a table or marble slab - but don't use too much pressure. Using force is not necessary to cut if you use that method. In addition to cardboard (which can be a real pain), paper, some thin wood, card stock, plastic, and even very thin metal (aluminum cans), I use this machine to cut many other materials as well.
