Questions & Answers

Does this type of batting work as a microwave bowl pad or microwave potato baker bag? Please accept my gratitude for your assistance! ?

Generally, yes, it is microwaveable however, the one that you are creating must be made of 100% cotton. It must also have any form of thread or material made of 100% cotton.

This type of batting is different from the typical all-cotton batting quilters use? Is there a difference between the two?

A microwave only can be used with cotton batting, which is the only type of batting that can be used with this product.

Maybe this is a silly question, but will you be getting a sheet that measures 22" x There is a single pack for $3 that is 36" x 45". What do you think would be the better choice?

There is a cost saving when using the bolt. However, it is wrinkled.

Can you tell me why this order is taking so long to arrive?

Depending upon the circumstances with the supplier, that may be the case. The current state of affairs is not normal.

I have purchased this item twice
3/5

I used it to make 100 bowl cozies for gifts during Christmas. This product has perfect quality for the price. I was happy with how they turned out. I don't like, however, that the batting comes wrinkled. The thickness also appears different from section to section. Worst of all are the wrinkles, which elongate the construction time and cause irregularities. I like to have bowl cozies stashed away for gifts, but dealing with wrinkled up batting adds time to the construction process. Then I waste a lot of material when cutting out squares that are 10 inches.

The microwave project is a great fit
4/5

Cotton batting of this quality is excellent for the most part. The microwave project is a great fit. A pretty good consistency can be found here. The bolt was working until I reached the end of the bolt. There was a section roughly 3 feet long that was 17 inches tall instead of 22 inches tall. Even with a bit of stretching, I got it to 19", but it's getting thin in some places.

It's essential if you microwave anything! The set of holders is exactly what I wanted for my microwave hot bowls
5/5

It was nice to be able to find what I needed and have everything delivered to my home, since I live in a small town with limited shopping options. The bolt is much more affordable per yard than buying it by packages. If you are making hot pads, potato bags, microwave bowl holders, etc. you need a microwave-safe product, not just cotton batting, since it can cause a fire. This works well for that specific.

I preferred the smaller bags of wrap to the bigger batted bags I preferred the smaller bags of wrap to the bigger batted bags Despite the thinness of the batting, it appeared to be stretched
3/5

Unfortunately, it didn't work as well as I would have liked. In order to meet the needs of my projects, I would like to order a larger quantity.

Let me know what you think
3/5

It would be great to hear from you. The thickness of this batting seems to be a problem for some people. The rolls are usually ordered in 3's at a time, and I've found that one roll can start off thin and then thicken as the roll goes on. In addition, the last three rolls I purchased are all quite thin, so I will have to double the material. I am having trouble figuring out what to do because of this and have to use more fuel. If you could give me some feedback before I contact Pellon, that would be great.

There are times when cotton is necessary
5/5

It took me two hours to make 20 soup bowl rugs for 14 coworkers Presents for employees as part of the Christmas season. In fact, they are actually using them in a microwave in their office. Without them, they would not be able to do it. When polyester is used in the Micro, it melts. To clean with cotton, you need to wash it with water. Although the bolt was not as large as what was offered by the fabric store nearby, it was much cheaper. In addition to what I kept, I kept A casserole dish holder will be given to them.

This is my second package that I'm dissatisfied with
3/5

This is my second order after my first one was perfect and worth every penny of my money. It looks like this brown stuff got caught in the machine and got layered on thick. My second package had some pieces that were hard to explain, but were definitely brown. Only a quarter of the way through and I hope I do not have much more to cut out and discard. It ain't perfect, but it's better than nothing. It is possible I may buy it closer to home so I can return it for a new one if I find it somewhere closer to home. As of yet, I have not received my third order.

It is heavy and I like how it looks, but it shrinks under pressure
3/5

Although I like the weight of this product, it does shrink when I wash it. For the sake of my project not shrinking after sewing, I prewash all cotton material before sewing. It makes my project shrink and get lumpy when I use it. replaced the shrinking batting with normal 100% natural warm batting that is a little too heavy, but does not shrink like the batting does.
