This arrived the day before yesterday, and I put it to use this morning. br>br>It was packaged in a square-shaped black box. ish zip pouch (approximately 12 cm or 4 inches) Each side measures 3/4" x 5", with one side being slightly longer than the other. br>br>Included in my package were the following: 14 spools of thread, a thimble, a 5' tape measure with inches on one side and centimeters on the other, a seam ripper, 5 safety pins, 2 needle threaders, a small scissors, 3 buttons in a little plastic packet, about 10 pins with little beads on top in another plastic packet, and a round needle dispenser I received the following thread colors: br>br> br>two (2) white,br>one yellow,br>one red,br>one pink,br>one purple,br>two blues of different shades (a steel blue and a turquoise-y sky blue),br>two greens of different shades (like a may green and an olive),br>two shades of brown (a reddish-brown and a dark brown),br>two shades of brown (a reddish-brown and a dark one blue-tinted (chocolate and umber),br>and one blue-tinted (chocolate and umber). one black, one leaning (cool) charcoal gray br> I would have happily swapped one of the whites for a navy, but this was not enough to make me unhappy with the product. br>br>Being a non-smoker, I was unable to comment on the product. Don't try to take the lid off the needle dispenser, seamstress; instead, twist it until the hole is near the size needle you want to dispense. At least, that's how I understand it's supposed to be used. br>br>The item I sewed this morning appears to be holding together, at least so far, and can even support a small amount of weight. br>While I am not a "thread expert," I have seen some kits panned due to poor thread quality. br>For basic purposes, the thread in this one appears to be adequate. Overall, I am satisfied with this product and will most likely order another to keep in the glove compartment.
This was purchased in the event that some of the buttons came undone. I can sew, believe it or not! Mom had passed on those abilities to me. In any case, everything you'll need is included in this kit. I was reattaching a button and realized that the thread could have been of higher quality, so I simply used more. The needle dispenser is one of my favorites! You twist the cap, align it to the desired needle area, shake a little in your hand, and the needle slides out! I like it. Okay, I'll admit that I'm impressed by the little things. The entire set is fantastic value for money. This is the one to get if you need an emergency kit!.
I haven't used this product yet, so I can't comment on its durability, but my initial impressions are positive. I despise anything with obnoxious logos, so the case's plain black on both sides and slim profile make it ideal for storage. Inside, you'll find everything you'll need as a beginner or an emergency kit, and it's of good quality, in my opinion. For about $6, it's a steal!.
This is fantastic. I only bought it because I needed a needle and Walmart didn't have any, and I had no idea how many other items I was missing. This is something I'm glad I got.
I fought with the case lid for at least 20 minutes, with my fingers hurting, and eventually got it to slide around to the top so I could get them out. I thought it was defective for a long time, good lord. br>I'm a complete beginner who only needs to do some light sewing and repair, so I don't think I'll be able to comment on quality.
You'd laugh at this if you're a sewer. However, if you only need to close a hole in a pillow seam, it's ideal. It's a small set, but it includes everything you need, and the scissors are no joke. Perfect for travel or for people like me who don't have the time or ability to sew. br>br>I'm going to teach my son how to sew a button on with an old-fashioned needle and thread. school-style, and hand it over to him.
When purchasing a large kit such as this, the expectation is that everything will be extremely low-cost. This one, on the other hand, is a bit of a bargain - Nothing is of such poor quality that it is useless. The needles are adequate, the thread is serviceable, and the tape measure does not tear when yanked for the first time. I'll add thread as I run out (each spool has very little), and the only thing I think I need to upgrade is the thimble, which is fine for now. Everything you'll need in a sewing kit for a great price.
This is not a sewing machine sewing kit or a professional sewing kit. It's precisely what I needed. It's ideal for repairing minor issues. It comes in a black case that zips shut and contains everything you need. You can't beat the value for money in this little kit, which includes everything you need. When it comes to the thread, I would advise you to keep your expectations low. The thread is thin and weak compared to other threads. However, it's only $6 this time!.
