Instead of buying this one, look for one with a square rather than a round shape. This unit bends excessively, making it impossible to get a good spread. You could get away with a cheap rubber squeegee.

I only use Speedball products because they are of excellent quality and last a very long time! I bought this to have an extra squeegee, but I didn't realize it was quite so large. It's a bummer that I can't use it on my smaller screens without going sideways, but that's my fault for not reading the size. I highly recommend Speedball products!.
I usually like the feel of wood-handled squeegees, but this one was a little unsettling because the wood wasn't sealed or coated in any way to smooth out the texture. The actual squeegee is held in place by what appear to be very small staples, and the squeegee has loosened from the handle after many washes, dryings, and uses. To be honest, it's not bad, but I'd prefer a more comfortable handle and a more durable product in general.
There isn't a single thing to be unhappy about. This package arrived much sooner than expected, and it contained exactly what I had requested. In terms of quality, it's ideal. I'm excited to try it out.
If you're using something thick, like plastisol, the lip on the scraping edge tends to hold a lot of ink. We primarily use water-based inks, which are excellent for this purpose and fall somewhere in the middle when it comes to plastisols.
Cleaning is a breeze with this product. It's extremely long-lasting and ideal for home screen printing. This one is especially good for printing multiple items on the screen.
I'm new to screen printing, but I found this to be a breeze to use. The squeegee blade is neither too floppy nor too firm, and the wood has a rounded edge that makes it easy to hold. It was easy to figure out what angle to use and how much pressure to apply, and my results were consistent.
For screenprinting, it's adequate. I was able to get a much sharper print after trying one from another company that had a polyurethane blade and a 70 durometer.
This is my first silk-screening purchase, and it appears to be a success.
