Perfect practice, however, makes perfect! And even loving 'imperfections' can be worthwhile as well.
We're afraid to open and see what else we will find.
I definitely need to practice my skills with baby onesies, but the process was easy and fun. Since I am a hobby crafter, I go to the store all the time to purchase I cut the vinyl perfectly, and I was able to easily weed it. Since the transfer tape was not too sticky, it allowed for easy release of the vinyl from the silk screen. A word about the transfer tape, it seems to only be made for one use (usually I save it and reuse it, but this one didn't hold quite as well the second time around). I was very impressed when I used it the first time! Having a selection of her products on hand in case I need them in the future is very appealing to me. Water was all it took to clean the screen (and I dried it in a few seconds). Cleaning the vinyl was easy because it peeled off so easily.
There was nothing left out. Only a very small amount of ink was included in the ink. My design was set to the t-shirt size It was disappointing that the ink quality was not as good as I expected. Ink was very thick and it would not wash off when it was rinsed. After many rinses, some of the ink is still visible in some areas. That was the only time I used it, and it was not able to print properly on the T-shirt It's now collecting dust so it's no longer worn.
As fun as it is to screen print, it is not so fun when the screen tears on the first shirt. In order to prevent it from getting larger, I burned the area to prevent it from spreading. The screen is now covered with masking tape whenever I want to use it.
I liked this kit a lot! I was able to follow the instructions easily. It is incredibly easy to use and has proven to be useful for multiple projects.
It's a good starter kit, but I tried using HTV vinyl instead of the product they gave me, but the vinyl peeled off when I washed it (so wouldn't recommend it I would also recommend purchasing something to push down the white pipe that keeps the screen in place.
