Sister: So far, I've only scratched the surface of silk screen printing knowledge. I wanted to test with an embroidery hoop, but I'm not sure it was tight enough. Because I didn't want to use emulsion yet, I used frisco stencil vinyl mirrored. The first attempt was on the pink tank, and I used tape on the inside of the hoop, which proved to be a bad idea because the paint got underneath my tape, and there were some spots I couldn't tape because it was a hoop. Then I taped the outside of the tote with vinyl and it looked a lot better. Both of these tasks were completed without the use of any cleaning supplies. I could have done more if I hadn't run out of things to try on. Now it's time to clean the house. Obtain the cleaning supplies that have been recommended! Also, gloves should be worn. I got some on my hand and ended up smearing it all over the place. I can wash my hands with soap, but there are still paint splatters on my hand, which is my squeegee. I scrubbed with soap about three times. There's a photo of how it looked when it was new compared to how it looks now. I didn't want to even try the screen, so I tossed it out because it was only supposed to be a test run. I simply cut them out of a curtain fabric.
This ink coated EVERYTHING during the process, including my hands, gloves, squeegee, and screen, even though it cured quickly and printed well that one time. I had to purchase a special screen cleaner in order to save my screen, which I thought was completely destroyed. Three different kinds of soap were used, as well as two sponges in total. I used rags and a squeegee to clean my hands. For ONE good printing, it's not worth the mess or the stress. Perhaps it was designed for printing machines rather than a one-person operation. All I know is that the experience has left me feeling somewhat traumatized.
It's fantastic! With just two passes of my squeegee over my screen, I was able to get excellent coverage on dark shirts; I would highly recommend it! Cleaning up is a little more difficult than with water-based paint, but it's well worth it!.
It has the appearance of dental paste. I designed a shirt. It had gotten out of hand. I had to use paint thinner to get it off my silk screen, hands, table, and so on; two days later, I wore the shirt and it stained my seatbelt; I used different paint and none of this happened; one day later, I wore the shirts and there were no stains. Who knows if I got a bad batch, but I'm not going to use it again.
On my press, it's a cinch to use. It washed and dried the same after being flash dried at 300 degrees for maybe 10 seconds. When left open for long periods of time, the ink has a long shelf life.
I'll be trying the black low temp and wishing they had other low temp colors. br>I'll be trying the creamy smooth opaque and half the price, and that included shipping. br>I'll be trying the black low temp and wishing they had other low temp colors. If they had a full color range of low temperature inks, I'd switch ink providers in a heartbeat.
This type of ink has never caused me any problems before. In the container, this was nearly a solid mass. To make the ink usable, I had to stir in some reducer and work it for about 15 minutes. The screen then continued to clog as if it were covered in solid specks. I had to use the wash button on my computer on a regular basis. It had not been a pleasant experience.
Surprisingly enjoyable! I needed a good quality white for dark garments and found it for a reasonable price. br>It was very easy to print on a dark garment with a higher mesh count. br>It's on par with any of the well-known screen printing companies. I plan to order more colors as needed. br>High opaque, low bleedbr>.
