Suitable for transferring photos, words, ink and other creative designs onto cotton, fiber, metal, ceramic, glass, etc, to produce gifts, advertisements, and many other things

You can save space by using swingaway configurations. This digital LCD timer lets you set a desired time and an audible alarm will sound when the time is up it helps avoid overexposure

As opposed to other machines with bare metal heating elements, our machine has a Teflon-coated heating element. In addition, the surface is non-stick, preventing scorching of transfers, making it comfortable for everyday use and long production runs. As well as you, I use Teflon sheets. With all the heat settings and layers being used, I'm not sure that it is completely necessary, but it seems like it helps protect the fabric as well as the vinyl.

It took me many, many tries and multiple attempts with my "special" iron and Siser EasyWeed to make one shirt for a friend this morning that had no holes

Ironically, I had been using the no-holes iron instead of investing in a machine. Earlier this afternoon, this press arrived, and I had to take a look at In one press, I was able to press the shirt perfectly. My heart sank when I heard that. As I see it, this is a very good press for anyone, but especially for those who work with low volumes.

During the summer, the padding that looks like a pad for under the carpet gets extremely hot

Be sure to remove it. If the top is not kept higher than the bottom, it can get so hot that it will burn your floors. I had a badly damaged hardwood floor because of it.

Despite that, it is a great machine. I have also used it to press fabric, attach fabric to backing to use with my Silhouette software, heat set dyed fabric and seal pockets for laminating. Sheets made of Teflon are strongly recommended. Having done business with JANDJPACKAGING, I found their 16x20 sheets to be spot-on. It appears that there is a good deal of discussion between clamshells and swing away designs. Having the press head swing away is my preferred method because it means that I can compose my layout completely with no interference from the press head. This also requires a larger footprint since the press must pivot out of the way to operate.
