I was excited to get this for class, but when I received it, I immediately noticed that it was plastic rather than the wooden handle I was expecting; it is of poor quality, and I will be returning it as soon as possible. If you look closely at the third photo of the seller's item, you'll notice that the handle is red, just like the handle on the speedball lino cutter.

Awful. This is something you should not buy. The hand piece's small metal part isn't even attached, so none of the pieces fit together. Please do not throw your money away.

When in use, pieces/tips keep falling out of the main handle, and it is not secure. He had a stick with him when he arrived. That seemed like a good idea for securing tips, so I tried it. It only worked with one tip; the others didn't fit. Cuts linoleum tiles/Soft kut blocks, but not very well; cut lines aren't clear, and most pieces/tips are choppy. Some tips work well, while others do not. It's possible that this is due to the fact that they don't stay firmly in the handle. There are no instructions. The handle is pleasant to the touch and provides a secure grip. You get what you pay for, I suppose.

The picture shows a wooden handle, but the handle is made of cheap plastic, and two of the five cutting blades are missing. At first, I thought it was just one, but now I see only three blades. I'm returning it; at the very least, that part appears to be straightforward. Don't believe the pictures they show you to sell you this nonsense.

So the handle isn't made of wood. . . it's made of very cheap plastic, and this one was filthy with a sticky dark film on it when it arrived. The cutting tips DO NOT FIT IN THE TOOL AT ALL, rendering it useless. It arrived a week late, to make matters worse.

The blades were unable to remain in the holder. They would fall out no matter how hard I pushed them into the handle. Two of the blades were the right size for what I needed, so it was a disappointment. Spend a little more money to get one that is better.

I decided solely on the basis of price. What a blunder. These are a waste of time. It is difficult to work with. Occasionally, bits will not fit into the handle. Carving bits become dull after a while and become impossible to carve. We threw them all away and replaced them with a more suitable product.
