Questions & Answers
This isn't for removing hardened emulsion; it's for removing emulsion that has become hardened.
It works wonders when it comes to emulsion removal. Only a squirt and a smidgeon of rubbing is required. Typically, all that is required is a simple hose down. Are you unfamiliar with the term "screen filler"?
The speedball screen filler should be removed using the speedball speed clean.
I've had no trouble removing both Ecotex emulsion and the Speedball diazo emulsion that I use. A small amount of something should go a long way.

I ordered this because I was running out of time while waiting for my regular shipment of chemicals from International Coatings to arrive, which had been delayed due to weather. With standard thickness dual core emulsion, it took over an hour to reclaim one screen, and there is still emulsion on my screen in difficult to reach places. I'd keep scrubbing the emulsion out of the corners if I really wanted to break the tension. Even if this was the last emulsion remover on the planet, I wouldn't buy it again.
I'm not sure what's up with some of the "canned" rating scales that Amazon sent my way: Warmth? Okay. It's not that important. But wait, there's more: br>br>I'd give it five stars if I could, but I'm afraid I can't. It's an excellent product with a lot of potential. alternative on the market is more environmentally friendly. On two 200 mesh screens, I put it to the test. One was painted with multiple coats of Ecotex PRW and the other was painted with a single coat of Speedball's photo emulsion (along with a few splotches of screen filler). You'll be surprised by result number two! br>br>Ecotex melted away as if it were nothing! I'm still having trouble breaking down the Speedball stuff. The screen filler came loose fairly easily, but after several treatments, I'm thinking I'll just cut out the screen (handmade wooden frame) and replace it with one that I'll coat in Ecotex. This product claims to work with any type of photo emulsion. However, it's possible that this isn't the case entirely. In any case, I am very pleased with the Ecotex PRW emulsion and will no longer use the Speedball product, but I cannot give this emulsion remover a 5/5 rating because it does not perform as advertised.
The emulsion did not come off after I used the entire gallon. I tried scrubbing it with a soft sponge but it didn't work. Used 1: Even after diluting 4 times with water, there was no difference. Nothing worked, even after I soaked it. This is a terrible product, and you should not waste your money on it.
The first attempt was on a screen that had been used, washed, and dried in the sun several times. It was ineffective - But the speedball remover I'm trying to replace didn't work either. I emailed their customer service department, and they were very responsive and helpful. Then I tried it on screens like I usually would with the remover: burn a screen, not satisfied with the results and wishing to try again, or one-off projects The remover did a great job of reclaiming the screens and was a breeze to use. I'm saving a lot of money compared to other removers, and I'll definitely order again!.
I went through several small bottles of ecotex emulsion remover and discovered that it worked great, so I ordered a gallon for $35. The gallon is a unit of measurement that is used to measure the amount of liquid in a gallon of water It's completely useless. I mean completely ineffective; the emulsion does not clear. I had to toss it out in the end. br>A company should have some form of quality control for that kind of money. br>Continue your shopping spree.
We've thinned it out to 1: We've been using it a little stronger than they recommend because we keep forgetting to put the last part of water in. Purple emulsion simply disappears, while green Speedball softens to the point where a light power wash is all that is required to remove it. It satisfies me.
I rinsed the screen after spraying it on both sides with a non-abrasive scrubber. I've never cleaned a screen without preassure washing in my life. By far the most effective emulsion remover I've ever encountered! I also had emulsion hardener on the screen, which is notoriously difficult to remove.
This remover sounded less toxic and had good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I was hesitant to try because I assumed it would be a hassle, but I finally did, and this product is truly incredible! Even though I used two different emulsions, the emulsion literally melts off the screen. The only disadvantage is that there is no sprayer nozzle, so I think I used a little more even though I used a sponge to apply it. In seconds, the emulsion was completely dissolved. I will definitely use this product again and highly recommend it because it has no odor, causes no irritation, is simple to use, and is extremely effective.
