A Bernina sewing table that I converted from an older model. In order to secure it to the table and machine, I use four pieces of painter's tape. I loosen the top pieces of tape and lay the grid back towards the front when I need to refill the bobbin. Though it may be inconvenient to have this seam guide on hand, its benefits have far outweighed any inconvenience.

If you're trying to decide between these two products, you may want to Unlike the other one, this one is designed to attach to the needle IN FRONT of the whole grid. That would be too long even for my Janome 8200QC! It is understood by the Clearly Perfect Angles device that the needle should be positioned mid-way between the two A grid is best. I was able to make this work by cutting out the middle section half way down the grid and drawing a horizontal line at the needle location. By buying the Clearly Perfect Angles, you will save yourself a lot of time and aggravation!.

The double sided adhesive dots should be placed on the chrome parts, not the plastic guides, since they leave a dull circle when removed from the bed of my metal sewing machine. When storing the machine back in the cabinet, the plastic guides must be removed. The left side and front might be better suited for my machine if it is cut off at those points.
